When the 2023 season came to an end, East Lee finished with a 5-5 record, which would be considered by many as a year where goals were not met.

While some may have concentrated on the first half of the season, head coach Paul Herbans and his staff opted to look at the way the Jaguars finished the year off in Lehigh Acres.

Winning four of the last five games and knowing that there was a solid nucleus of talent coming back for the 2024 season, the attitude was positive as the team headed toward the off-season.

With the spring and summer ahead, using the rising senior class (2025) as experience and leadership was indeed a solid plan.

Prospects such as James Boireau (DB, 5-10, 157 – 3.2 GPA), Dieuby Bontemps (DE, 6-3, 189 – 2.94 GPA), Isaiah Collins (OC, 6-4, 265 – 2.94 GPA), Noah Figueroa (DE, 6-2, 215 – 3.76 GPA), Michelot Pierre (DE/DT, 6-2, 265 – 2.73 GPA), and versatile Kaiden Rainey (S/LB, 5-9, 172 – 2.45 GPA) were ready to lead the way.

In addition, Christopher Roberts (LG, 6-1, 293 – 2.7 GPA), [player_tooltip player_id='1212125' first='Lazaro' last='Rogers'] (RB, 5-10, 205 – 3.0 GPA), and two-way lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1205513' first='Eric' last='Thomas'] (6-5, 305 – 2.73 GPA) will also be counted on.

UNDER CLASSMEN WILL BE VITAL

While that rising senior class will be impressive, so will the 2026 rising juniors. Players such as Steven Alexis (RB/LB, 6-0, 174 – 3.2 GPA), Ja'Derrick Cochran (DB, 5-9, 174 – 2.8 GPA), Jamaris Graham (DB, 6-0, 173 – 3.1 GPA), Nathan Jean Baptiste (Athlete, 5-7, 160), [player_tooltip player_id='1369062' first='Kaden' last='Joseph'] (WR/DB, 5-10, 155 – 3.0 GPA), [player_tooltip player_id='1371487' first='Bryant' last='Murph'] (QB/DB, 6-3, 187 – 3.2 GPA), Justin Prieto (LT, 6-4, 274 – 3.6 GPA), and linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1206746' first='Ibrahim' last='Rosales'] (5-7, 187) are also going to be expected to add to this program as well.

Even a deep 2027 class will have talent – with Denzley Balthazar (LB, 6-2, 184 – 3.0 GPA), Jonathan Beile (DE, 6-0, 178 – 3.2 GPA),

Kemoni Brooks (S, 6-4, 187), Marcus Creal (OG, 6-0, 254), Jacorie Darrisaw (DB, 6-0, 174), Joel Delgado (QB/DB, 6-1, 154 – 3.4 GPA), Bomani Francis (DE/LB, 5-11, 165 – 3.0 GPA), Jodlin Loussaint (DB/WR, 6-2, 176), and versatile Shariyf Robinson (DL/LB, 6-1, 240).
