This week, Prep Redzone Scout Drew Johnson will highlight instrumental recruits who have consistently produced this season. As noted frequently, Prep Redzone Florida aims to provide adequate coverage of all athletes for college coaches At All Levels and readers to evaluate.
Dereon Coleman Dereon Coleman 5'10" | 145 lbs | QB FL | 2026 | Jones | @DereonColemanQB
Telling everyone right now, this kid is the Real Deal. He has a rocket for an arm and smart decision-making skills that separate him from other QBs. He will have the chance to continue rising during the camp season when touching down on college campuses where he can dominate against his peers.
William Jackson William Jackson 6'4" | 185 lbs | QB Lake Minneola | 2027 FL | QB | 2027 | Lake Minneola | @WillJacksonQB3
Not long before this kid will be on major college coaches’ radar. He will be the leader under center for a rising Lake Minneola program this fall but has time to generate big-time interest around his recruitment before then. He’s listed at 6-4, 180 pounds with a powerful arm and solid footwork/lower body mechanics for his age. Look for Jackson to continue to rise and be a top 2027 QB prospect.
Jaelen Waters Jaelen Waters 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Seffner Armwood | 2026 FL | DB | Class of 2026 | Armwood | @Jaelen_waters9
This kid has developed into the Real Deal since first laying eyes on him. Really good frame combined with long arms and a nice burst gets the job done in pass coverage. It’s the on-field IQ and confidence at the position that makes him a special recruit for the future. Look for a continued uptick in college interest as we head into the offseason period.
Jake Kreul | DL | 2026 | Bishop Moore | @JK_DE_SNAKE_34
2023 stats: 68 total tackles, 22.0 TFL, 15.0 sacks
This kid has developed into a legitimate Power 5 prospect on the college radar. Very athletic combined with explosiveness and good hand work makes Kreul an intriguing prospect for the next level. Still plenty of time to add weight to his frame but coaches get eyes on him Now.
Jakobe Green Jakobe Green 6'4" | 335 lbs | OL Niceville | 2026 FL | OL | 2026 | Niceville | @Bigshoww_70
Green is a strong and powerful sophomore riser that checks a lot of boxes. He’s displayed solid technique and movement on his feet but usually beats rushers with his hands and pure strength. He recently dominated at the UA Orlando camp and earned a recent offer from Appalachian State University.
Chancellor Barclay | OL | Class of 2026 | Lake Minneola | @ChancellorB2026
Barclay is a real deal riser in the 2026 class who had a solid fall season and is now showing off his strong hands and footwork technique during the offseason camp period. Barclay earned a big-time Power 4 offer in January from the University of Miami along with Penn State University. I expect his recruitment to continue rising heading into the spring period.
Larry Miles | WR | 2026 | West Orange | @d1larry123
Brogan McNab Brogan McNab 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Melbourne Holy Trinity | 2026 FL | QB | Class of 2026 | Holy Trinity Episcopal | @BroganMcNab2026
2023 stats: 2,462 yards, 17-3 TD/INT | 842 rushing yards – 13 TD
McNab adds to one of the more stacked 2026 quarterback classes that I’ve had a chance to cover. The three-year varsity starter has displayed good footwork mechanics and a grasp of the offense in his time under center. The dual-threat riser has been an important component of the offense as he’s able to stretch the defense with a good arm and decent rushing attack with his legs.
Javar Bowden | WR/TE | Class of 2026 | @BowdenJavar
Bowden is a two-way athlete who lists 11 Division 1 offers that include Texas A&M, Kentucky, and Mississippi State. At 6-7, 185 pounds and just a rising sophomore, Bowden has the time and body frame to make it happen at the college level. Bowden has incredible athleticism and reliable hands that he uses to extend his catch radius. He can be put on the outside or lined up at the tight end position to add a blocking component.
Rasheem Turner Jr | LB | 2026 | Seminole | @5x_ttgsheem
This kid popped onto my radar after earning notable Division I offers from UCF and Liberty. Turner had a productive sophomore season but has risen on the recruiting scene during the off-season. Solid numbers recorded recently at the UA Orlando camp and he has contributed to Sanford Elite 7v7.
Ben Bankowitz Ben Bankowitz 6'2" | 215 lbs | DL FL | OL | 2026 | @BenBankowitz | Edgewater
Bankowitz is another rising 2026 offensive lineman in the Central Florida area that features some of the best. This kid is under the radar for now but earned a recent Division I offer from Florida Atlantic University. Has gotten shown love from some Power 4 colleges but expect his recruitment to take off with more in-game film and eyes on his good hands and technique during camp period.
