While those schools search, here are some players they need to keep tabs on. From small school to FBS caliber players, there’s a little bit of everything in here.
Fernando Zurita
Fernando Zurita
Creekview has produced several D1 offensive linemen in the past, and Zurita is someone who could join that list. He is a late bloomer and is vastly unheard of when it comes to the recruiting scene, but he is expected to be an impact player as a senior. He comes in listed at 6’1 265 and carries his weight pretty well. While he isn’t super long and might not be the quickest, he understands how to win with leverage. Off the snap, he does a fantastic job of maintaining good pad level when he connects with defenders. From there, he flashes the ability to anchor thanks to his strong footing and hand placement. When he has to pull from his guard spot, he does a good job of staying disciplined with his eyes and navigating through chaos. Zurita is big, strong, and fundamentally sound. Any FCS program looking to improve the discipline of their OL room should give him a look.
Andrew Ryan
Andrew Ryan
Andrew Ryan is a steady C prospect with some valuable experience against good competition. He comes in at 6’3 275, sporting enough length and mass to displace nose tackles while being able to get out on the move. Ryan is a gritty blocker, winning with leverage and effort. He plays with good hand placement and drive in his legs, which allows him to eventually win out and move defenders. Athletically, he might not be as loose and fluid in space as some of his peers, but he has decent shiftiness in his feet which allows him to match secondary moves from defensive linemen and settle down against faster second-level defenders. Ryan has played good ball against good competition. He possesses fine size for a C as well. He should be viewed as a high floor pickup for some smaller schools.

Wright is a big bodied IOL prospect who is just starting to break onto the recruiting trail. He is all of 6’3 310, sporting a thick frame with some room to grow in his legs. Off the snap, Wright flashes excellent play strength and can manipulate defenders. He has heavy hands and is strong enough in his feet to anchor against bigger defenders. Wright isn’t the quickest guy in space, but he can pull and plug efficiently, completely washing out defenders in the gaps and leaving a gaping hole in his path. Wright’s balance is perhaps the most impressive part of his game. He understands leverage and keeps his footing well, even while violently rag dolling defenders to the turf. Wright just picked up an offer from Morehouse and I bet several D1’s follow their lead.
Alex Brewer
Alex Brewer
Alec Brewer is an athletic OL prospect who will likely project at RT or at a guard spot. At 6’4 270, there is plenty to like about his frame and length, especially at a younger age. He moves pretty quickly in space and carries his weight well, which means he will likely continue to move well as he adds. Brewer plays in a diverse rushing attack which allows him to kick, pull, and down block on plenty of snaps. When in space, he does a good job of locating second-level defenders and is twitchy enough to settle down and give himself a chance. He shields off the running lane nicely, creating an opening for RBs well beyond the LOS. At times, he can get out ahead of his feet. However, he does a good job of reworking his momentum and recovering in his footwork, which allows him to finish blocks even if he may end up on the turf too. All in all, there are plenty of developmental traits to be excited about here. He checks out as a D1 caliber OL prospect who should generate some recruiting buzz in the future.
Terrance Warren III
Terrance Warren III
Terrance Warren III possesses extremely rare size for a freshman and has already started to pick up some FBS recruiting steam. At 6’5 320, he is absolutely massive and will only get better as he grows into his frame. Simply put, Warren’s game is centered around being bigger and stronger than everyone he lines up against. Off the snap, he runs into defenders and leaves destruction in his path. Every player he touches ends up on the turf, and he isn’t afraid to go down with them and violently finish blocks. He is very raw as a mover and is still refining his pass set. However, he has the weight to survive bull rushes and the length needed to catch speed rushers trying to bend around the edge. There is a lot of opportunity for growth in his game, but a 6’5 320 people mover is going to generate some deserved buzz, especially as a freshman.
