Which 2025 prospects in Georgia are on the rise?

Prep Redzone has all the details...

[player_tooltip player_id='1186956' first='Synkwan' last='Smith'] - ATH - Roswell

An explosive, dynamic runner for the Roswell Hornets, Smith is a true playmaker with the ball in his hands who impressed last season as a junior. He brings good size and can break tackles at 5-foot-9 170 pounds. He's quick, shifty, and can score on any particular play. There's a lot to like about his game, and with college coaches starting to notice, the breakout junior recently earned his first power five offer from Kansas State. The Hornets should be very good again in 2024 so expect Smith to have another strong season in 2024 as a senior. Last fall, Smith caught 32 passes for 420 yards and 8 touchdowns while rushing 24 times for 285 yards and four touchdowns. He's a versatile prospect who should see his role increase more next fall. His recruitment could just be beginning, so he's a 6A prospect on the rise to keep an eye on. He'll likely earn a new offer in the next Prep Redzone Rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id='908920' first='Evan' last='Gober'] – TE – Brookwood

A fastest-rising Gwinnett County tight end to know about, Gober is a big target in the passing game with strong, dependable hands. The 6-foot-4 230-pounder has easy D1 size, and he's had a nice week on the recruiting trail, adding new offers from App State, Austin Peay, Deleware, Georgia State, and Liberty, among others. He's physical in the run game and uses his size to his advantage down the field in the passing game. There's still plenty of room for development, so his best football is still way, way ahead of him. If he can stay healthy and develop more over the next several months, Gober could have a massive senior season in 2024. He has the potential to be a real weapon in the middle of the field, and college coaches have taken notice. His stock is on the rise, and more offers could be on the way.

[player_tooltip player_id='664690' first='Bradyn' last='Cook'] - ATH - Telfair County

A tough, physical small-town linebacker out of McRae, Cook is still one of the more underrated linebackers in the state, but the offers might start rolling in. The hard-hitting 6-foot-0 215-pounder recently earned his first offer from Air Force, and more could likely be heading his way. A stout linebacker with a compact frame, Cook is a versatile linebacker who can play in the middle or on the EDGE. An impressive two-way player ranked as one of the top linebackers across Middle Georgia, Cook plays hard and plays with a physical style of play. Defensively, he can close running lanes between the tackles and is fast enough to run down the ball-carrier on the perimeter. At running back, Cook ran angry and showed above-average speed and burst in the process. He's a good athlete and a better football player. The first offer is in, and it likely won't be the last.
