Here we will take a closer look at some of the standout performers from the tournament and players who helped lead their teams to success.
Naythan Smith | CG3 CAT Takeover
Smith was a go-to target and a sure handed weapon for his team this weekend. He shined on both sides of the ball, causing PBUs from his safety spot and making drive ending interceptions. Smith came up in the clutch in tight games and would not be denied of a big play, which led to his big time performances.
Ty Walsworth | LA Bootleggers North
Walsworth made some big time catches for the Bootleggers and especially during crucial moments. He made acrobatic catches in traffic, and showed to be a deep threat who went up and got it. Walsworth took advantage of single coverage and made highlight plays in every game.
Zion Baker | DFW Pride
Baker showed to be a playmaker who possesses the talents to draw in an entire defense with his skill. Baker had all eyes on him and still managed to make play after play, and help lead the Pride on successful drives. He made jaw dropping catches, showed great ball skills, and was an all around great athlete to watch.
James Moses | Blur
Moses big bodied defenders with the ball in the air. He showed great physicality and knew how to high point the ball, especially near the end zone. Moses made some impressive grabs that got his team hyped and help lead the squad to some key wins in the tournament.
Trey McDaniel | LA Bootleggers North
McDaniel showed to be a one on one nightmare for opponents, using his size to his advantage. He outjumped defenders, hauling in the deep ball and showed the strides to run right past them. McDaniel was the go-to target when the team needed a score close to the end zone and on extra point tries where his catch radius was put on display.
Jessiah James | CG3 CAT Takeover
James proved to be a leader for his squad, taking control from the quarterback position with a calm demeanor and delivering when the team needed it the most. He showed excellent accuracy when rolling out of the pocket and made the correct reads to keep drives alive. James was also a big presence on the defensive side, jumping routes in the middle of the field and causing turnovers.
Peyton Timmerman | Blur
Timmerman was a two-way star for his squad. He manned the middle of the field and used his long frame to cover the open space, making throws difficult to get through. On the offensive side, Timmerman was a big target and a player who kept drives alive by making contested catches in the middle of the field.
Sam Spichiger | Blur
Spichinger picked apart defenses when he was on the field. His ability to look off defenders and hit his targets on the money while on the run helped lead his team to success during the tournament. Spichiger showed great zip and touch on his throws, and got everybody involved. He displayed excellent timing with his receivers and when he got going it was hard to get him out of his zone.
Michael Sanders | CG3 CAT Takeover
Sanders was a playmaker on both sides of the ball for his team. He was a deep ball threat who caught defenses sleeping early for big plays and showed incredible athleticism with the ball on the air. Sanders was shifty in space and keep the ball moving for his team. Defensively from the safety spot, Sanders read quarterback eyes and made jumps on the ball for key stops on in the secondary.
Zyion Grier | Blur
Grier was quick on his routes and used his speed to get open in the middle of the field, splitting safeties and making tough catches for big plays. He showed strong hands and was a reliable target offensively. Defensively showed promise as a deep safety and challenged throws by getting back in position displaying his recovery speed.
Cole Battaglin | Blur
Battaglin showed his skills as a defensive back throughout the tournament, taking on the challenge of single coverage on an island and coming away with impressive PBUs and interceptions. He showed great ball skills on both sides of the ball, high pointing throws and fighting through contact to makes catches.
