The class of 2026 has several prospects at the linebacker positions that can take over a game on the defensive side of the ball. In this article, we are going to highlight several prospects in the linebacking corps to watch out for over the next few seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Tank King-Linebacker-Port Arthur Memorial-6'2” 200-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tank King has excellent speed, and he uses it well to get off of blocks. King can completely disrupt the opposing offensive rushing attack. Meanwhile, he is a linebacker that has the quickness to drop back into pass coverage. King will force incompletions as well as cause the occasional turnover. The Port Arthur Memorial linebacker is a prospect that has the potential to take over games on Friday nights in the fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='216737' first='Heston' last='Davis']-Linebacker-Holiday-5'10” 200-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Holiday linebacker does an impressive job of reading both the run and the passing plays. Davis does a good job of defeating blocks and swarming to the ball carrier. He fights off blocks and is always in a position to bring down the ball carrier. Davis has the speed to cover running backs and tight ends in the passing game. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of years at the linebacker spot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='724855' first='Tatum' last='Evans']-Linebacker-Grapevine-6'1” 210-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='724855' first='Tatum' last='Evans'] is a prospect that does a great job of filling the rushing lanes. Evans uses his speed to shut down the opposing offensive rushing attack. He does a great job of defeating blocks and swarming to the ball carrier. Meanwhile, he has the ability to drop back into pass coverage and cover running backs and tight ends. He does a great job of defeating blocks and swarming to the ball carrier. Welch is a player that can drop back into pass coverage or come on a blitz and force an early throw. The bottom line is that Welch is a linebacker that is always around the ball carrier. Welch is a player to watch out for over the next couple of years for Mesquite Horn.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='960252' first='Noriel' last='Dominguez']-Linebacker-Fort Bend Marshall-6'2” 200-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Marshall High School prospect can shut down a rushing attack in impressive fashion. Dominguez fills the rushing lanes and lives in the opposing offensive backfield. Meanwhile, he is a player that can pressure the passer and cause mistakes. He is a versatile prospect that can play on the defensive line as well. Dominguez is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of seasons for Marshall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
