Ladarius Jemes Ladarius Jemes 6’5″ | 215 lbs | LB Huntsville | 2025 State AL had a terrific junior season for Huntsville last fall, frequently hurting opposing offenses as a destructive defensive end/EDGE. Jemes is twitchy with some great abilities out in pursuit. It doesn’t matter where he initially is lined up at on the line of scrimmage, Jemes is nearly always giving maximum effort to try and impact or stop plays. It’s impressive to watch him track down opposing ball carriers to then hunt them down for tackles- he’s a dedicated, physical player with a lot to offer. Jemes had himself a big year for Huntsville’s defense last fall- he ended up recording 66 total tackles (4 for loss), 3 sacks, 16 hurries, 4 pass breakups, and 3 fumble recoveries. Jemes has been proving himself as a valuable leader on his defense for awhile, which is exactly why attention has started coming his way. The other day, Jemes picked up an offer from Troy! Keep an eye on what he’s able to do this next season, he has a lot of potential coming into the year!
Ian Mitchell Ian Mitchell 6’4″ | 230 lbs | LB Gardendale | 2025 State AL was explosive off the edge for Gardendale’s defense last fall- what he was able to do for both their rushing and passing defense was simply fantastic. Mitchell is explosive off the line of scrimmage. He frequently flies off the snap and is able to almost instantly impact plays. It doesn’t matter if he’s going up against an offensive lineman in pass pro or against the run, he finds ways to manuever around them to get tackles both at and behind the line of scrimmage. Mitchell was dominant all throughout the season and it showed with his 42 total tackles (4 for loss) 4 sacks, and one fumble recovery on the year. With how well he’s been playing, Mitchell has quickly become a target for a lot of great programs across the nation. Recently, he’s picked up offers from Troy, Austin Peay, North Alabama, and more! Mitchell has been developing really well, watch him this fall to see how he does in his senior campaign!
Koby Johnson Koby Johnson 6’0″ | 175 lbs | DB Baldwin County | 2025 State AL had himself a phenomenal junior season last fall at Baldwin County- he’s a well rounded DB that has played very well in their secondary over the last few years. Johnson has a lot of athleticism, he has terrific speed, takes great angles, and anticipates passes extremely well. With that anticipation comes picks, Johnson is able to easily bait opposing quarterbacks into bad throws that he capitalizes off of frequently. When not playing the pass, Johnson is a willing tackler that can get a lot of work done against the run. Last fall, Johnson was able to make a lot of plays out in coverage as well as against the run, and all of that showed up on tape with his 21 total tackles, 5 interceptions, 3 pass breakups, and one fumble recovery last fall. With that level of production and those skills, Johnson has been receiving a lot of attention from teams at the next level. Recently, he has picked up offers from schools like Jacksonville State- keep an eye on him this fall as he’s sure to add more!
Kamari Todd Kamari Todd 6’1″ | 175 lbs | DB Gardendale | 2025 State AL is another Gardendale defender that was seriously impactful last fall as a junior. What Todd was able to accomplish out in their secondary was very impressive. Todd has some excellent coverage abilities in man to man assignments. He’s a physical corner that really challenges wide receivers at the line of scrimmage- that paired with his size and speed makes him a real chore to try and beat downfield. In addition to his coverage abilities, Todd shows a willingness to get involved in the run game that separates him from many at his position. Frequently on tape, he’s shown giving his all to try and find ways to bring down the running back in the open field or down in the box. Todd was incredibly reliable out in Gardendale’s secondary all last season- he had a big year that featured him racking up 77 total tackles (4 for loss) and one sack. It looks like things in the recruiting world are starting to heat up for him- Todd just recently picked up his first D1 offer from Illinois State! With how well he was able to play last fall, it’ll be exciting to see what he does in his senior year!
