Prep Redzone Kansas continues to feature Kansas athletes who have signed with college football programs, but who are not among our currently 330 players ranked in the Class of 2024.

Here is a fourth report on soon-to-be ranked talent. This group of 12 athletes have signed with junior college programs in the Jayhawk Conference and each hopes to compete for starting positions right out of the gate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181056' first='Christopher' last='White'], DL, 6'1”, 220, Blue Valley Southwest (Coffeyville)

The first player in this group decided to head to Southeast Kansas to play for the Coffeyville Ravens. White has a nice combination of size and speed. He can disrupt an offense's game plan.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181065' first='Sebastian' last='Lopez'], DL, 6'2”, 285, Garden City (Garden City CC)

Lopez is a run-stopping defensive tackle. I saw him play at a preseason jamboree. He should immediately compete for a starting spot on the Broncbusters defensive line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181060' first='Kobe' last='Huggins'], DL, 6'7” 260, Circle (Butler)

I watched Huggins' game closely last summer at the Butler Trench Warfare Camp. He is long and raw and is starting to begin to understand how he can dominate a game. He parlayed that performance camp performance with a solid senior season to a commitment to the Grizzlies. Huggins finished with 26 total tackles and six quarterback sacks during his senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181059' first='Ryder' last='Phillips'], LB, 6'3”, 195, Riverton (Butler)

The Butler coaching staff has expressed excitement about this athlete's potential. He has solid speed and can bring the wood. Butler has him listed as a linebacker, but he played mostly free safety and slot back in high school. He could end up being a hybrid backer. He covers well and has the speed to be dangerous off the blitz.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181061' first='Adam' last='Stultz'], LB, 6'1” 215, Wichita East (Independence)

Another versatile athlete is the Blue Ace linebacker who is headed to Independence. He has played some at tight end, he could bulk up and move down to the defensive line, or just win a spot at linebacker.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181067' first='Karson' last='Butts'], LB, 6'2”, 220, Andale (Garden City CC)

Butts has a ton of natural talent and finishes tackles. He is a little undersized for a collegiate linebacker. He will get a chance to head to Garden City and get faster and stronger.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181069' first='Dennis' last='Summers'], LB, 5'11”, 175, Eudora (Highland)

Summers is a talent who has honed his game by playing 7-v-7 for the Kansas Elite. He finished his senior season with 25 tackles, seven pass break-ups, and one interception. He could play linebacker or safety depending on Highland's needs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181062' first='Ethen' last='Allen'], DB, 5'11”, 175, Garden City (Garden City CC)

Allen had several college offers but ended up deciding to stay at home. He is a shutdown corner, who can also return kicks. He also played all over the place on offense with 85 carries, 12 receptions, and one completed pass. The new staff at Garden City can be about as creative as they want in how they utilize this young man's skills.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181066' first='Amanie' last='Luten'], DB, 5'11”, 170, Field Kindley (Garden City CC)

Luten plans on taking the old saying “Go West Young Man,” to heart. The Southeast Kansas prospect will be heading hundreds of miles west to compete for the Broncbusters. This is an impressive signing for Garden City. Luten can play a variety of positions on defense and could also have a big impact on special team units. He finished with 50 total tackles during his senior season and had two career interceptions in high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181129' first='Gabriel' last='Hoskins'], DB, 5'11”, 190, Shawnee Mission Northwest (Highland)

White is ranked No. 83 in the Prep Redzone Class of 2024 standings. He is an excellent route runner with explosive speed. He will be heading west to play for the Dodge City Conquistadores.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181057' first='Tavian' last='Gilliam'], DB, 6'4”, 180, Buhler (Coffeyville)

Gilliam is a long defensive back, who could play corner or safety. His tackle numbers from last season were low, so he played a lot of pass coverage. He has quality size so he matches up well with taller wide receivers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1181130' first='Davion' last='Winton'], DB, 5'7”, 145, Lansing (Highland)

I saw Lansing play a couple of times last season and Winton can make plays. He is very quick and does not mind hitting ball carriers. He is another athlete who has lots of 7-v-7 experience.
