The 2025s at West Florence portion of the Carolinas Combine Series are a good mix of up-and-coming talent and established stars.

Both will have their chances to impress on March 24.

That day, a collection of players stretching from the Grand Strand to the Midlands will meet up and don Catapult's GPS vests and participate in a slew of events that can spur the rest of the offseason and then right into 2024.

Here are a few of the names we're intrigued to see, for one reason or another.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012620' first='Web' last='Barnes'] LB, Hartsville - We've mentioned before how Barnes is motivated to make the most of the rest of his high school career. And we've also mentioned how good he can be (he had 100-plus tackles as a sophomore). Now, Barnes is back to full action. He is a game-changing linebacker who might just blow the doors off the combine.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012579' first='Sterling' last='Sanders'] DL, Blythewood - The 6-foot-4, 295-pound defensive lineman takes up a lot of real estate, something he's counting on in the rest of his career. But he's wants to prove he isn't simply one of those big guys who shows up and relies solely on that size. If Sanders gets to West Florence and shows off some mobility, his lengthy list of offers likely grows longer.

[player_tooltip player_id='464882' first='Jamarcus' last='Williams'] RB, Hannah-Pamplico - Williams lost most of his junior season to an ACL tear. He and his family elected to have surgery sooner rather than later to help get him back for baseball. Because of it, he's now ready to compete in the combine, too. Williams has a 2,000-yard season under his belt already and has the size and speed to stand out in March.

Charles Huynh OL, Carolina Forest - Phil McLean garnered so much attention last season at left tackle for the Panthers that many folks missed that Huynh was quietly putting together a pretty good campaign at right tackle. He's an active blocker who has issue pulling back to the left side of the line and at 6-foot-3 and 270 pounds has the size to stand out at West.

[player_tooltip player_id='272701' first='John' last='Simmons'] WR, Myrtle Beach - The only question around Simmons's game the last two seasons was who was going to get him the ball. With that question now settled for 2024, Simmons might be on the brink of putting his athleticism even more on display on the gridiron. He's already among the state's best high jumpers in track and he's accomplished on the basketball court, too.

[player_tooltip player_id='272703' first='James' last='Herbert'] LB, Trinity Collegiate - There's a pretty good chance that the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Herbert moves up to more of a traditional defensive end spot next season. He's certainly got that type of range. In Florence, his measurables and quickness should allow him to make some waves while lining up with mostly SCHSL players.

[player_tooltip player_id='1249778' first='Jordan' last='Joe'] DB, North Central - Also listed at 6-foot-4, Joe is a rangeriffic safety who picked off seven passes last year. He plays the ball extremely well while covering opposing receivers downfield. Joe could use several drills during his trip to West Florence to exhibit his mobility and length - his two best traits.

[player_tooltip player_id='464893' first='Treshon' last='Burgess'] ATH, Lake City - While Burgess is going to most be competing with the defensive backs, he is every bit capable to playing four-five other spots on the field and will likely have opportunities to do more during this combine. We've had a heck of a time watching him do some of all it the last six months.

[player_tooltip player_id='1249788' first='Connor' last='Gooding'] TE, Gilbert - The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Gooding showed up to Langfitt in December and was GPS-measured as fast as 21.7 miles per hour. Think he might be able to hang in Florence, too? Gooding put up 22 receptions for 389 yards and eight touchdowns last fall and is an effective blocker, too.

[player_tooltip player_id='272698' first='Will' last='Wilson'] QB, Richland Northeast - Any time the 6-foot-1, 220-pound quarterback is asked to throw, he's going to impress. He's won multiple event honors since the end of his junior season and just keeps giving people reason to believe he's ready for his final year before heading to North Carolina State. He's done nothing to make anyone think different for the combine.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012586' first='Jahiem' last='Jones'] TE, Crestwood - Jones might be a little more receiver than tight end, but he's bound to impress because of how good his hands are. He's also about to take on a much bigger role at Crestwood thanks to a bunch of graduations, inclusion several which affect the receiving corps. The competition between the tight ends here will be good for him.
