After breaking down some stockrising 2027s, it’s time to focus on some high-level sophomores. Without any further ado, here’s my list of some under the radar 2026s in Kentucky to watch for.
In the first place spot on my list is Wyatt Robbins Wyatt Robbins 6’1″ | 190 lbs | QB Murray | 2026 State KY , a quarterback at Murray High School. Robbins stands out under center due to his arm strength and ability to complete deep passes. I also like how Robbins can calculate his passes under pressure, showcasing his solid decision-making and precision in the air. Robbins also impresses with his quick release and ability to maneuver the pocket.
Highlights
I am additionally impressed with Ethan Pittman Ethan Pittman 6’5″ | 235 lbs | OL Wayne County | 2026 State KY , an offensive lineman at Wayne County High School. What impresses me the most about Pittman’s playstyle is his ability to lock in at the line of scrimmage and quickly attack the opposition off the snap. I also like how Pittman can match the defensive line’s strength, create disorganization in the pocket and open up the field for the rush.
Highlights
Claiming the number three spot on my list is Jackson Whitten Jackson Whitten 6’3″ | 245 lbs | DL Bracken County | 2026 State KY , a defensive lineman at Bracken County High School. What I like about Whitten is his ability to quickly get to the quarterback, using his size and speed to be disruptive in the pocket. I also like how Whitten can read the offense and catch the running back from along the edge, showcasing his ability to protect the backfield from the rush.

Another skilled prospect to watch for is Chayce Burton Chayce Burton 5’10” | 185 lbs | RB Male | 2026 State KY , a running back at Male High School. In addition to excellent size and speed, what stands out about Burton is his ability to blast past the defense in the pocket and from along the edge. Burton also has strong footwork, proving he can juke out the defense and slip past the opposition to take it all the way to the house for the touchdown.
Coming in at number five on my list is Cayden Varney Cayden Varney 6’2″ | 170 lbs | ATH Belfry | 2026 State KY , an athlete at Belfry High School. Varney impresses me with his size, speed and ability to be explosive on both sides. Defensively, I like how Varney can shut down the rush from along the edge. I also like Varney’s ability to disrupt receivers in coverage, using his versatile edge and catching ability to break up deep passes.
Highlights
Also worth mentioning is Jaxson Byrd Jaxson Byrd 6’3″ | 205 lbs | TE Barren County | 2026 State KY , a tight end at Barren County High School. What makes Byrd so impactful offensively is his breakaway speed and ability to quickly march down the stretch to get open for the deep pass. I also like Byrd’s ability to create solid seperation quickly off the snap, using bursts of speed to stay uncontested on his way to the house.
