To many it comes down to preference and familiarity to style, structure, or even personality as a leader. Let's look at more field generals from Fort Worth's annual camp that turned some heads.

[player_tooltip player_id='1312399' first='Tamarion' last='Crochett'] (6'5 200) of Cedar Hill could have easily been the offensive MVP if not for a few throws into strong and stubborn winds. Crocket reminds me of Texas State's top signal caller TJ Finley with the large frame and cannon arm from the pocket. Crocket was extremely impressive on all of his reps whether they were completed or not. This kid has the total package for a pocket general. Familiarity with route runners wasn't a problem due to the power in that right arm to push the ball to the chest of the receiver. At one point it looked like Crochett was playing dodge ball due to how fast and hard the ball would travel to its target. Look for Crochett to make major noise in the 2024-25 season.

PrynceJohn Hill (5'11 170) worked as a dual-threat option and even showed versatility as a receiver just for competition purposes. This kid is just a competitor and showed it all day at the Stock Up even from individual skill drills to footwork in passing. Hill excelled with his ability to change directions with his mechanics and reset for the delivery. He also showed the ability to throw on and off platform due to his natural athletic ability and improvisational skills.

Colton Waddle (6'1 155) impressed Sunday at the Stock Up with his poise and attention to detail. Waddle is a very serious and coachable athlete when it comes to his craft, and he oozes confidence in the pocket. You can tell that he is comfortable and at home in the pocket on every drop. Waddle also showed different arm slots that he could sling it from which impressed many in attendance. Waddle definitely has the makings of a field general based on pure passer intangibles. For these reasons, he is one of the standouts at the position for the 2024 Stock Up camp.

Ty Thompson (6'2 195) showed up as a dual-threat gun slinger for the Stock Up camp. Thompson has a strong frame and a strictly business approach to competing. Every rep for this kid was a max effort rep and a coachable one. Thompson clearly has leadership abilities that reside in his core values as a competitor. Thompson throws a pretty deep ball and was exceptional on pushing the ball to the crossing routes and digs. Ty Thompson is one to watch going forward for the 2024-25 season.
