When Pohl sees an open lane, goodbye, he’s already off to the races. He seemingly skips a gear when he has a lane to run through and can turn on the jets immediately. Even when he’s caught behind the line of scrimmage, Pohl is slippery and can make defenders miss with a cut and fly in the opposite direction on his way to a big gain.

East could find the open lanes with ease. He is the definition of a one-cut and go back, and there were plenty of times where the Northeast running back would carve out a big gain by starting to his right and then abruptly cutting back to the left and ripping off a long run. East’s vision is the best part of his scouting report, and a team with a zone-run system and a need for a workhorse running back should welcome him with open arms.

Acceleration is Boice calling card. His ability to burst off the line of scrimmage or out of a break is what makes Boice special and will give him a chance at a good college career. In addition to his burst, the ability to modulate his speed will put defenders in awkward positions. Overall, Boice has juice and in short-yardage situations can be a key player to any offense

This is arguably Khatri’s best trait. He does not miss tackles. Most of the time, Khatri is coming downhill and will square up the ball carrier to make an efficient tackle. When moving side-to-side, Khatri is almost as good but can let the ball carrier slip outside his radius. However, this is rare compared to how often he attacks downhill and makes textbook tackles.

Mitchell’s instincts are a fantastic part of his game. He has a great understanding of the scheme deployed by Bob Johns HS and is consistently communicating pre-snap. Mitchell does an outstanding job of keeping his eyes on the quarterback in zone coverage. By doing so, Mitchell can look from his number one receiver to see the quarterback checking down to the running back on his side.
