The number of commitments for the Greyhounds from New Mexico prospects reached 13 on Tuesday when three more players pledged to ENMU. The trio includes Volcano Vista linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='592401' first='Kian' last='Vander Wilt'], Aztec RB [player_tooltip player_id='275041' first='Baylor' last='Seabolt'] and Atrisco Heritage WR [player_tooltip player_id='274705' first='Marquise' last='Renfro'].

Vander Wilt combines good size (6-2, 235 pounds) with impressive speed (4.53 in the 40). He recently competed in the Blue-Gray All-American Game at AT&T Stadium in Dallas along with several other NM players. He tied for the team lead in tackles with 73.

“What really convinced me the most about Eastern New Mexico was how great the coaches are,” Vander Wilt told Prep Redzone New Mexico. “And I was very impressed with nice and well-kept the facilities are.”

Seabolt is a physical and fast 6-foot, 200-pound running back. This past season for Aztec, he rushed for 1,247 yards and 15 TD. He also caught 15 passes for 146 yards and 1 TD while making 126 tackles on defense.

Seabolt told Prep Redzone New Mexico that he was recruited by ENMU as an RB/SB in the Greyhounds' triple option flexbone attack. He took an official visit to ENMU in December and picked the Greyhounds over several other schools.

“I loved the atmosphere at Eastern, from the town all the way down to the coaches. I just felt it was an environment I could thrive in,” Seabolt told Prep Redzone New Mexico. “I was very impressed by the layout of the campus and facilities. Ultimately, Eastern was the best choice for me.”

Seabolt was a four-year starter for Aztec and set a new school record for career tackles. His 1,247 rushing yards in 2013 ranks fifth all-time in school history. He was also a high achiever in the classroom.

“I developed myself as a leader with Aztec constantly changing of head coaches, which I believe will help me in the future,” Seabolt said. “I hope I have left a lasting legacy for Aztec Football and the community.”

Renfro, an elite athlete who is also an outstanding basketball player, led Atrisco Heritage in receptions with 38 for 883 yards (23.2 Yards per reception). He also carried the ball 23 times and averaged nearly 8 yards per attempt. He'll bring a dynamic presence to the ENMU offense.

In addition to the aforementioned players committing to ENMU, Bernalillo two-way standout [player_tooltip player_id='275206' first='Mason' last='Espinda-McChriston'] committed to NMMI, becoming the third 2024 NM prospect to pledge to the Broncos.

Espinda-McChriston was one of the top two-way players in the state last season. He finished with 142 tackles and 5 interceptions on defense, and 46 receptions for nearly 1,000 yards on offense.
