Receivers catch on at PRZ Stock Up Showcase

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At last Sunday's <strong><em>Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase</em></strong> at Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale, there were some very impressive stories that came out of the three-hour event.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From athletes to coaches, prospects came to learn and compete against some quality talent.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Broken down by positions, there was talent in every direction – and as parents came out to support, there was so much going on.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The one position that stole the show ended up being the receivers and tight ends who came to put themselves on the map, and they all did just that.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For Class of 2024 senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='748757' first='Decedric' last='Stokes']</strong> (5-9, 141, Davie Western), this was an event to come out and give it another shot to put himself on the radar screen.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From Sunrise Piper High School to Western this past season, this is someone who has always had the talent, but never fully had the chance to display all his abilities.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>During Sunday's showcase his future may have changed as he turned things up a few notches and was named as MVP for the receivers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While Stokes watch his stock rise, so did recent Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas 2025 senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='828971' first='Logan' last='Andrews']</strong>, who came from Cardinal Gibbons with the hopes of getting that recognition that was needed to grab the college and university's attention.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Coming from a family where everyone was a standout athlete, the 6-3, 195 -pounder started the off season with an impressive performance.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The receiver position was indeed a place that grabbed the attention during one-on-ones – with prospects such as Sanford Seminole's <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1138842' first='Frank' last='Hicks']</strong> (6-1, 165), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1158164' first='Ian' last='Goines']</strong> (6-0, 155, Lakeland Christian), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1158077' first='Greg' last='McKinnond Jr'].</strong> (5-9, 175), and Miami Gardens Monsignor Pace 6-1, 175-pounder <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1130813' first='Amare' last='Whetsell'] also </strong>turning heads in the 2025 class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The tight ends also made an impression with were recognized like versatile (WR/QB/DB) <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1158073' first='Damani' last='Downs']</strong>, a 6-2, 170-pounder from Miami Gardens Monsignor Pace,
