The quarterback position is a position of extreme importance to a football team and program. Selecting such a person often comes down to schematic need and style preference. Let's take a look at a variety of notable quarterbacks from this past weekend's PRZ Next Middle School camp in Fort Worth, Texas.

Jaiden Mitchell (5'8 135) was a standout at camp from the onset by testing well in the 5/10/5 drill, L drills, broad jump, and 40-yard dash. Mitchell is a competitor in every sense of the word. Often times it can be difficult to project the quarterback position in middle school. However, Mitchell shows the natural ability to throw a catchable ball as well as the wherewithal to extend plays with his legs. Those two intangibles are vital in today's football norms. We look forward to seeing Jaiden Mitchell continue to progress in the future and take pride in him being part of the PRZ Next family!

Gage Dagley (5'11 120) camp into camp with amazing size for a middle school athlete. Dagley has everything you'd want in a young signal caller all the way from the mental ability to absorb coaching, physical tools to execute what was mentally absorbed, and the grit to battle through adversity. All that is left for this kid to do is be consistently disciplined with his gifts. Kudos to Gage Dagley on an awesome camp and being selected as one of the notable quarterbacks for PRZ Next 2024.

Brody Schramek (5'8 160) is a strongly built athlete who just happens to play quarterback. He displayed a strong accurate arm even in cold condition with foreign receivers. Schramek showed a quarterback's demeanor of never being too high or too low. He showed comfortable footwork on all drop backs and was able to generate good velocity on passes in both directions. I look forward to seeing how Brody Schramek continues to develop mechanically and physically because he definitely has "It" mentally.

[player_tooltip player_id='303194' first='Cameron' last='Heard'] (5'10 130) is a stud of an athlete. He made all of the necessary throws at the PRZ Next camp to catch the eyes of the cameras. Heard has a long frame and his arms are even longer. This will serve him well in the long run of maintaining a high release point when under duress. Heard throws from several arm slots and has the ability to extend plays. He was one of the top talents this year at doing a bit of everything well all day. Great jo to [player_tooltip player_id='303194' first='Cameron' last='Heard'] for being selected as one of the top performers at this year's PRZ next Middle School camp.
