I continue to be impressed with the players I watch and look forward to featuring more in the future.
Omar just completed his senior season and has yet to commit to a school. His athleticism sticks out on film with his very good acceleration going along with his good balance, change of direction, lateral quickness, hand quickness, and speed. He was a two-way player for St. Anne’s playing a hybrid WR/RB role on offense and Outside Corner on defense.
WR
He has a quick release and good route running, utilizing his good athleticism in his route to create separation. Displays soft hands and quickly looks to make a move upfield. He has quick plant-and-go acceleration and good change of direction that allows him to avoid defenders with good balance to keep his feet. As a RB, he has good vision to follow his blocks with good burst out of cuts to quickly accelerate and run through arm tackles with his good balance. He has good ability to create yards when the blocking breaks down, utilizing his change of direction and speed to find a seam and create positive yards. He is a willing blocker, blocking downfield as a WR and as a lead blocker out of the backfield. He can also pass protect in the backfield and can anchor himself against a linebacker and DB rush to give the QB time to make a throw.
DB
As a DB, he can be utilized in Press, Soft, and Off coverage. He has quick hands to jam a WR with good strength to disrupt a route. In Soft and Off coverage, he has good backpedal and fluid hips to turn and mirror the WR in tight man coverage. He shows good processing by passing off WRs and covering the new WR in his zone. Solid ball skills, with good closing speed on WRs and will look for the ball, with the ability to force pass breakups and willing to be physical to disrupt the catch. He is good in run support, able to shed blocks of larger WRs, and wrap up the ball carrier on the third level with good tackling ability.
Highlights
Joey was limited to just six games this past season yet still earned 2nd Team All-District honors for his junior season, and his film shows why. He has good processing and reaction and quickly fills his gap assignment on inside run support with good strength and balance to keep his feet. He has solid range and can cover from hash to hash with good angle processing to meet ball carriers within a couple of yards from the line of scrimmage in outside runs. Good at block shedding, utilizing his hands to create separation and rip past blockers. He finishes with good tackling by wrapping up and driving through the ball carrier. He also plays Full Back and is predominantly used as a lead blocker using his good explosion and balance to drive defenders out of the gap for the ball carrier. You can also hand him the ball up the middle and count on positive yards.
Tight End
Solid height as a TE with good size with good foot quickness, speed, explosiveness, and hand quickness. He is a good in line blocker, able to block linemen and linebackers with good pad height and leg drive to open the hole for the ball carrier. Displays the ability to pull and execute a wham block, as well as lead through a hole to a linebacker. His quickness allows him to reach block EDGE players in outside run plays. As a receiver, he has good release out of his stance with good acceleration into his route. He provides a quick target for his QB and has good hands to bring in the catch. After securing the catch, he will quickly turn upfield and use his size to lower his shoulder and gain extra yards through contact.
EDGE Defender
Good height and size for an EDGE player. Good initial quickness off the snap with good pad level and quickly works his hands to engage the offensive tackle and create separation and leverage. He is disciplined as a run defender to not rush too far upfield and stays in his gap to contain the edge of the formation. Good block shed, able to stall an offensive lineman with good strength to hold his ground and quickly rip past the lineman and make a good tackle in his gap. In pass rush, he utilizes his good foot quickness and speed to beat OTs to their set points to put pressure on the QB.
Jack is a versatile linebacker/EDGE defender who can play on and off-ball positions, but you will see him primarily as an EDGE defender in both 2, 3 and 4-point stances. He has solid height and good weight and displays good quickness, strength, and use of hands. He has good reaction to the snap with good processing of the offensive play. He displays good block shedding and lateral quickness in run support, with good tackling. Good pass rushing as an EDGE defender, with good initial step quickness and the ability to turn his speed into power to bull rush the QB, with good use of his hands and strength to grip the chest of the offensive lineman and walk him back into the QB, causing distress in the pocket. Good processing to read screen plays and adjust to be in a position to disrupt the play. He finished his junior season with over 90 tackles and received 1st Team All-Region and 2nd Team All-State honors.
Harris Mischke
Harris Mischke

He set a school record with a 70-yard punt and averaged a 3.98 second hang time for the season. With two years left, his craft should only get better. Check out his full season stats here.
