Drew Kinley
Drew Kinley
The 6’0 160 pound 2024 cornerback from Bayview shows off intriguing athleticism just off his first look on tape alone. Drew shows off a prospect that has plays with poised instincts you want out of your corner and the tape shows the pre-play recognition to adjust on the fly. The overall length Drew shows off should also be eye-catching to college coaches around Nova Scotia and on West, as the vertical he too shows off on tape shows a next-level prospect in my eyes. Would like to see more development (or seen on tape) more growth with his technique with his footwork as a growth into the offseason.
Andrew Johnson Andrew Johnson OL Citadel | 2024 State CAN
Andrew Johnson Andrew Johnson OL Citadel | 2024 State CAN
I will say it right away, there is not a OL prospect in Nova Scotia that has more vicious hands in the 2024 class that 6’6 310 pound Andrew Johnson Andrew Johnson OL Citadel | 2024 State CAN . Whether he wins with leverage to the second level or shows off effective angle blocking in pass-protection I like the versatility Andrew shows off as a prospect that has a quick developmental reach with what I saw on tape from months ago. He has become much more aware of his physicality he has with his excellent next-level measurables as this young man looks like one of the absolute biggest names to know in Nova Scotia amongst the Hog Mollies. I could certainly see Andrew getting some reach in recruiting outside of Canada as well into the States.
Noah Beaton Noah Beaton DL Horton | 2024 State CAN
Noah Beaton Noah Beaton DL Horton | 2024 State CAN
The first skillset that drew me to Noah on tape was his lower body dexterity he has with his 6’4 205 pound frame at defensive end. That length he has is key, as he also shows a rangy motor that can cover into the sidelines as a long-strider. I also liked the balance he had shedding off with his hands as the athletic pad-level Noah shows certainly shows off a 2024 prospect I would offer quickly.
Jase LeBlanc Jase LeBlanc WR John MacDonald | 2024 State CAN
Jase LeBlanc Jase LeBlanc WR John MacDonald | 2024 State CAN
Jase is another 2024 prospect out of Nova Scotia that shows to be an under the radar wide receiver out of Bayview. This young man’s athletic ability pops out very early on tape as he has playmaker type skillsets you want in your receiving core. What else impresses me about Jase is his run-blocking ability out wide as he consistently shows well-versed pad level and shows off plenty of finish in his blocks which to me shows potential position flexibility at the next level. His agility he shows off from his instincts also caught my eye as he can create sizable separation in tight areas. I certainly think Nova Scotia U-Sports programs should take a look at this young man.
Sam Lecker-Evans Sam Lecker-Evans DB John MacDonald | 2024 State CAN
Sam Lecker-Evans Sam Lecker-Evans DB John MacDonald | 2024 State CAN
Sam pops out quickly with how much glue he has to his defender, as this young man doesn’t give an inch in pass coverage. I can also tell he plays with a high football IQ with every rep I saw on tape. Sam also has the churning downhill speed that is super reactive in open space. And holy smokes is Sam physical as heck when he makes contact as this young man is a certified hit-stick and shows it off consistently. By far a college level prospect in my eyes still waiting for his first chance and plays massively bigger than his 5’9 170 size.
Logan Walton
Logan Walton
The Nova Scotia native, Logan Walton that played at Maine’s Fryeburg Academy as a senior, had a huge season and the tape and stats show it off vividly. Logan shows to be multi-dimensional at the next-level as his long-striding lower body and sound vision show off the speed he has as well. Logan shows off a constant deep ball-threat as a wide receiver that has sound hands on all levels of the field. He also is a WR prospect that plays with another gear of speed when he sees the open field, which shows why he logged 1500 all purpose yards and 17 touchdowns last season at Fryeburg. I wouldn’t wait around on offering this young man.
