La.'s top remaining uncommitted 2024 offensive prospects

The traditional football signing period is just a week away with some definite movement still on the horizon.   While most of Louisiana's top-ranked prospects signed in December, the state still has a long list of potential Division-I athletes still working to determine college homes.   Here are most than a dozen of the most notable remaining unsigned and uncommitted prospects on the offensive side of the ball.     [player_tooltip player_id='139475' first='Joshua' last='Jackson'] — 6-3, 180 WR — St. Augustine   One of the top half dozen or so receiver prospects in Louisiana's 2026 class, Jackson was a one-time Mississippi State and Michigan target and Tulane commitment with a reliable hands and a good combination of size and speed that should make him a late steal for the right program.   [player_tooltip player_id='421517' first='Makylon' last='Smothers'] — 6-3, 180 WR — Destrehan   The veteran of the Wildcats' loaded receiving corps appeared poised at the end of his sophomore year to enjoy a big recruiting uptick before an injury cost him his junior year. Louisiana Tech was among his most notable offers during the process.   [player_tooltip player_id='421605' first='Hubert' last='Caliste'] Jr. — 6-4, 235 TE — St. Augustine   "Biggie" is a one-time Indiana commitment and one of the top tight ends in Louisiana's 2024 class, an athletic pass-catcher with a multisport background as a basketball standout for the Purple Knights.   [player_tooltip player_id='144877' first='Elijah' last='Garrick'] — 6-2, 180 WR — Lake Charles College Prep   The one-time Memphis commitment announced his decommitment in mid-December and an offer from Butler Community College the same day. The multisport standout is another notable, potentially Division-I athletic pass-catcher still on the market. Nearby — essentially hometown — Northwestern State recently extended an offer.   [player_tooltip player_id='144893' first='Trae' last='Grogan'] — 6-1, 180 WR — Lafayette Christian   The big-bodied target in a Knights' offense marked more heavily by smaller, quicker athletes, Grogan came on particularly strong during the playoff run his junior year and carried that momentum into this fall. But he's still available for a potential college home. [player_tooltip player_id='139511' first='Amyrion' last='Mingo'] — 5-11, 170 DB/WR — Alexandria   "MyMy" is one of two players who will be on both the offensive and defensive lists in this series as a viable Division-I receiver or safety — a smart, tough football player that has adapted to and excelled in roles on both sides of the ball during his career, depending on where the Trojans needed his impact more.   [player_tooltip player_id='139472' first='Barry' last='Remo'] II — 5-10, 180 RB — Catholic (Baton Rouge)   A member of the perennial power Bears' varsity backfield since he stepped foot on campus, Remo grew into a leadership and featured role as an upperclassman and capped his prep career with a big performance in his team's state championship in December, before starting to hear more from hometown Southern University on the recruiting front. [player_tooltip player_id='421647' first='David' last='Moore'] — 5-11, 175 WR — West Monroe   Moore, who generated some notable buzz by Rebels receivers' standards, capped his high school career with an all-district performance and picked up a Pearl River Community College offer in December.   [player_tooltip player_id='144876' first='Hezekiah' last='Dantzler'] — 5-11, 160 ATH — Madison Prep   Dantzler joins the aforementioned Mingo as the two players featured on both lists after standing out as both a receiver and safety during his high school career. The multisport athlete has also been a high-level student with offers from Cornell in May and Navy in October among his most recent.   [player_tooltip player_id='289901' first='Hutch' last='Swilley'] — 5-11, 200 RB — St. Thomas More   The one-time Navy commit, a key piece of his Cougars' back-to-back state championship runs, has picked up offers from Northwestern State, Harding and Georgetown since reopening his recruitment.
