Moments after their second-round state playoff loss to Fort Walton Beach Choctawhatchee, Tallahassee Lincoln head coach Jimmie Tyson and his coaching staff started to plan for the 2024 season.

Posting a 9-3 record was indeed something positive, but if the Trojans are to make it further this coming season, it's the work they are putting in during January, February, March and April that will give them an opportunity to be in the mix come late November and early December.

While there were some key losses from this past season, the great thing about this program is the prospects who are returning helped to bring this team into the spotlight in 2023.

This team will count heavily on the rising senior (2025) class to provide experience and leadership.

That 2025 group includes K.J. Arnold (DB, 5-10, 175 – 2.78 GPA. Track), Damonte Betsy (OL, 5-7, 195 – 3.0 GPA. Track), [player_tooltip player_id='1019901' first='Alijuan' last='Bleechington'] (WR, 6-3, 195 – 3.0 GPA. Weightlifting), Dillion Kornegay (WR, 6-3, 175 – 3.14 GPA. Track) and offensive lineman Ryder Luck (6-3, 280 – 2.5 GPA. Wrestling).

The rising seniors will also have Mekhi Maddox (WR/CB, 5-10, 175 – 3.0 GPA. Track), Jerrod McDaniel (RB, 5-10, 165 – 2.5 GPA. Track), [player_tooltip player_id='831308' first='Kevin' last='Mills'] (OL, 6-1, 295 – 3.0 GPA), [player_tooltip player_id='1550650' first='R.J.' last='Perryman'] (WR/CB, 5-11, 172 – 3.69 GPA.
RISING JUNIORS WILL BE NEEDED – BIG TIME

The one thing that the Trojans have been building toward is having enough depth to last a season, and with this group of 2026 players, things are starting to fall into place.

Among that group includes Caleb Anderson (LB, 6-2, 190 – 3.0 GPA. Track. Basketball), Thomas Arnold (PK, 6-2, 180 – 3.79 GPA.
