In terms of production and star power, the Class of 2025 in the CSRA has a tough group to follow.

Record-setting running back [player_tooltip player_id='91348' first='Traevon' last='Dunbar'] (Midland Valley), wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='208338' first='Braylon' last='Staley'] (Strom Thurmond) and defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='91351' first='Jayden' last='Fuller'] (Silver Bluff) left their mark last season.

So which rising seniors make a similar impact and command the spotlight for themselves and their respective teams? Here's a list of seven candidates compiled by Prep Redzone South Carolina with the best opportunity.

[player_tooltip player_id='272702' first='Jevon' last='Edwards'] RB, South Aiken

If not for Midland Valley's Dunbar and the seasons put together by Irmo's [player_tooltip player_id='267430' first='Jaden' last='Allen-Hendrix'], Northwestern's [player_tooltip player_id='265222' first='Turbo' last='Richard'], and Hartsville's [player_tooltip player_id='1012592' first='Hakeem' last='Watters'], the 5-foot-9, 190-pound Edwards (pictured) would be looking as his third straight Class 4A All-State first-team honor. Already the school's all-time leader in rushing yards and touchdowns, he put the Palmetto State on notice with his electrifying performance against Aiken. Edwards rushed for 442 yards and six touchdowns in a one-point win over the Hornets. His list of offers include Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Liberty and Old Dominion.

[player_tooltip player_id='272716' first='Andon' last='Hawkins'] LB, Midland Valley

The 5-foot-7, 210-pound Hawkins played big for the Mustangs this past season. He was among the state leaders in tackles (187) to go with 13 quarterback hurries. Active both at the line of scrimmage and in the secondary, he also had four pass breakups to his credit. With nearly 350 total tackles in three seasons, he's looking for more eyes from colleges.

[player_tooltip player_id='605527' first='Jaquel' last='Holman'] RB, Blackville-Hilda

Both the Palmetto State's two biggest schools have shown interest in the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Class A All-State selection and Region IV-A Player of the Year. His size, athleticism and strength is almost a rarity on the Class A level. The Hawks utilized his talents to the fullest, playing him at running back and outside linebacker. He finished with 1,610 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns, had 76 tackles, a sack, an interception and three forced fumbles. He is of the Hawks' highest-rated prospects since former University of South Carolina defensive back Brandon Isaac.

[player_tooltip player_id='272712' first='Preston' last='McNair'] RB, Midland Valley

On a team without a Mr. Football finalist to share carries with out of the backfield, the production provided by the two-sport athlete would get even more attention. Coming back from injury, his 1,170 yards and 16 touchdowns combined with Dunbar's numbers equaled a backfield which accounted for nearly 4,200 yards and 58 touchdowns last season. He's also a dangerous kick returner, as seen in the playoffs where his breakaway speed provided a contrast to Dunbar's power running.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157986' first='Javaris' last='Logan'] DL, Bamberg-Ehrhardt

He was one of two Class A All-State defensive linemen for the Red Raiders. At 6-foot-2 and 285 pounds, he was a difficult matchup both at defensive end and tackle. On film, his overwhelming strength comes through as he fights through blocks to make a tackle. Both his top squats and deadlifts are at 600 lbs. He finished the season with 65 tackles, 19 for loss and six sacks.

[player_tooltip player_id='272720' first='Cameron' last='Austin'] ATH, Barnwell

A Class 2A All-State selection, he was a dual threat quarterback for the Warhorses with 2,675 total yards and 32 touchdowns. He's also received attention as a baseball player at three distinct positions and is expected to see an even more expanded role on Barnwell's offense.

The 6-foot, 250-pound All-Region III-3A selection is one of the Bulldogs' most versatile offensive linemen. He played both center and guard effectively with a 98 percent efficiency and zero sacks allowed to go with 20-plus pancake blocks.
