Coming into 2024 I want to concentrate on running backs across the globe who have not just the potential to be great, but the film to back it up. The eye in the sky don’t lie and it doesn’t matter the competition if you terrorizing whatever league your planted in. Below are five guys I know can ball and will make a even bigger splash this coming camp season leading into the fall.
Sydney Hubbard is a 5″11 175 pound 3 sport athlete coming out of the Dallas region of Texas.
-Averaged 100 yds per game (11 Touchdowns)
-He has good balance and footwork. Runs through arm tackles and keeps his feet clean in and out of holes when in traffic.
-Decent speed up to the third level and runs with good knee lift. He can outrun linebacker pursuit angles.
-Uses an affective stiff arm when outside when defenders try to tackle high. Finishes runs well.
Highlights
Japhya Lee Robson is a 5’11 180 pound dawwwwwg out of North Carolina. Named league MVP, led his team to state with 37 touchdowns and just shy of 2k.
-Runs with great pad level and always falls forward
-Strong frame, top and bottom. Physical runner with above average contact balance.
-Elite vision, good understanding of blocking schemes and how to set up blocks.
-Change of direction at the point of contact, with explosive runs in between the tackles. Can hit the homerun in any phase of game.
KeShawn Waller KeShawn Waller 5’9″ | 155 lbs | RB VA is a 5’9 155 pound speedster out of Virginia. Named team MVP after a 58-0 championship shutout. Rushed for 2,000 yards and 24 touchdowns.
-Fast and elusive. Makes moves at top speed
-Big play ability. Lethal outside the hash marks. Major threat at returning kicks as well.
-Trusts his eyes and creates lanes by stretching field horizontally with zone blocking or by keeping ball inside and climbing on top of the safeties for a big play in the middle of field
Corey Hinton is an electrifying ball carrier out of Nevada standing 5’9 and 160 pounds who can do it all.
-Shifty back with insane athleticism. Rare one defender can bring him down. Especially in space.
-Uses multiple gears that keeps tacklers on their heels or over pursuing
-Tough runner in the A and B gaps, knows when to get skinny and jump back outside
-Solid ball skills. Can catch and make plays once secured.
-Monster attitude. Runs with purpose and expects to score and make big plays. Yacs, Yacs, Yacs!
Tyler Wilson comes in at 5’9 and around 155 pounds with a 2 sport background from Alabama.
-Glides through holes with patience. Pulls away using a long stride.
-Versatile playmaker who likes to get up the field without wasting time in the backfield.
-Good hands. Solid threat in the screen game and a big task to slow up on any perimeter plays.
-Durable back who can carry the load in the 4th quarter.
