American Heritage Loaded Again

Not at American Heritage Plantation.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When the Patriots ended up 10-2 this past season, head coach <strong>Mike Smith</strong> and his football team were not pleased at all. The 17-14 state seminal loss to eventual 2M state champion Tampa Berkeley Prep soured what had been a banner year with only an early season setback to national powerhouse Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna as the only blemish on the schedule.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Loaded with talent, the objective was to head to Tallahassee and right some wrongs from the year before. They never got that opportunity.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As the 2024 off-season is now under way, the objective and focus is directly on the season ahead – and while some more pieces will be added before the Broward Showcase begins in late August – this is a team loaded with talent, in every class. Anything less than a state title will be unacceptable and a huge disappointment.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With a rising senior class (2025) that includes <strong>Omarian Abraham</strong> (DT), <strong>Dayen Marouf Araibi</strong> (OT), stellar running back <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='826443' first='Deandre' last='Desinor']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='834317' first='Ben' last='Diaz']</strong> (OC), <strong>Peter Grady</strong> (OL), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1130736' first='Gavin' last='Harvey']</strong> (PK), <strong>Peter Petit-Jeune</strong> (DT), <strong>Freddie King</strong> (DT) and offensive linemen <strong>Fischer Lavoie</strong> (OG), there is reason to believe that leadership and talent are very much in place.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Add in nationally rated running back <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='826450' first='Byron' last='Louis']</strong>, <strong>Jordan Louis</strong> (SS), <strong>Antonio Pasquatti</strong> (PK), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='827395' first='Jordan' last='Rich']</strong> (CB), <strong>Judah Stubbs</strong> (WR), nationally ranked defensive back <strong>Gregory Thomas</strong>, <strong>Evan Wallace</strong> (OC), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='830603' first='Chance' last='Washington']</strong> (RB) and linebacker <strong>Liam Watson</strong> and you have more talent.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>UNDERCLASS IS VERY STRONG</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As impressive as the 2025 class will be, the underclass that this program has is among the best in the state - starting with the rising junior class (2026).
