Let's take an inside look at a few breakout prospects from the 2024 season in the Fall!

2024 6'0 215 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='890782' first='David' last='Avit'] - Churchill - Villanova

[player_tooltip player_id='890782' first='David' last='Avit'] earned a spot on the coveted All-MET Team this year, and he was recognized by the Washington Post for his tremendous achievements in 2023. Setting a new record of 3,841 yards, Avit smashed Winston Churchill's overall rushing yards record in a single season. His 35 total touchdowns also set a new program record, and they were definitely integral in his earning MoCo Offensive Player of the Year honors. There were few players in the area that performed as dominantly as [player_tooltip player_id='890782' first='David' last='Avit'] did this Fall, and he will have a great chance to put his elite skillset on full display next season as a Villanova Wildcat!

2024 6'2 205 RB - Colin Reynolds - Georgetown Prep

Colin Reynolds was a huge part of the Little Hoyas' tremendous success in 2023, and he most definitely brings a lot of depth to any program's backfield at the next level. He racked up more than 1,500 rushing yards in the Fall, and he added 17 touchdowns to go along with those yards. He earned a jaw-dropping number of prestigious honors for his stellar performance such as All-MET, All-IAC, and All-IAC Offensive Player of the Year. Reynolds also has D1 offers from programs like Frostburg State, John Carroll, and Temple University. There's no doubt in my mind that he will make a tremendous impact on the backfield wherever he chooses to play!

2026 6'4 190 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='401992' first='Braeden' last='Palazzo'] - McDonogh

[player_tooltip player_id='401992' first='Braeden' last='Palazzo'] improved his game in essentially every measurable category this season. He threw for more yards, with 2,318, and more touchdowns, with 19, but his now 99.7 average QBR certainly stands out among the rest. Palazzo's season stood-out so much, in fact, that he recently received D1 offers from both UNCC and Syracuse University. All eyes must be on [player_tooltip player_id='401992' first='Braeden' last='Palazzo'] during the 2024 season, because he has already proven that he's a next level caliber quarterback!

2024 5'10 165 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='1057341' first='Anthony' last='Dixon Jr']. - Richard Montgomery HS

[player_tooltip player_id='1057341' first='Anthony' last='Dixon Jr'] ranked #3 in the state of Maryland for passing yards, with 2,697, and he scored 28 touchdowns for his Richard Montgomery Rockets team along the way. Dixon also rushed for about 100 yards and added another touchdown score. His 106.7 QBR average ranked amongst the highest in Maryland, so it's no secret that he Dixon was the heart and soul of the Rockets' offense. Anthony Dixon most definitely has enough skill and toughness to succeed at the collegiate level!

2026 5'10 200 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='692278' first='Tymond' last='Foxx'] - Largo

[player_tooltip player_id='692278' first='Tymond' last='Foxx'] ranked in the top 15 in nearly every statistical category for running backs in Maryland. He ran for more than 1,300 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2023, and there were only two weeks during the season where he did not rush for 100 yards. Foxx was an essential part of his Largo team's great season, ending with a 5-4 overall record. The future is extremely bright for the Largo Lions' backfield with [player_tooltip player_id='692278' first='Tymond' last='Foxx'] on their roster, and my prediction is that his numbers improve in every category next Fall as well. He's a phenomenal prospect with a high ceiling!
