These players may be slept-on now but they have the potential to succeed and make a name for themselves at the next level. We aim to provide coverage for all student-athletes striving to play college ball.
Jamar Taylor Jr Jamar Taylor Jr 6'1" | 205 lbs | WR Lakeland | 2024 FL | WR | 2024 | Lakeland | @JamarTaylorJr1
2023 stats: 37 receptions – 524 yards – 5 TD
Taylor looks like he’s put on a size to his already college-ready frame but still moves with slickness and smoothness when he runs routes. He has been one of the top WR prospects in the area because of his bag of skills. Has potential Power 5 ability with time left to generate buzz with production in the playoffs.
Rick Penick | WR | 2024 | Lakeland | @rick_p7
Penick is still on the market and has the skill sets to make it happen at the Division 1 level. He recently decommitted from Western Michigan but shouldn’t be on the market for too long.
Caden Harshbarger | WR | 2024 | Lake Mary |
2023 stats: 62 receptions – 1180 yards – 12 TD
Not sure how these type of recruits continue to get slept on by some of these local colleges trying to come up. The transfer portal has truly impacted the HS level. Get eyes on this kid, potential to be the real deal at low D1-D2 level.
Isaiah Riggins | WR | 2024 | Wiregrass | @isaiahriggins3
2023 stats: 93 receptions – 1586 yards – 16 TD
Analysis: Riggins has put his name on the map this season as a true production piece that can make an impact at the D1 level. Riggins became just the 10th Pasco County student-athlete to have 1,000+ receiving yards in a single season. He’s electric in the slot, beating defensive backs with initial quickness and slick route running. Riggins helped his 2024 QB Luke Knight to a record-breaking season, as he reached 3,000 regular-season passing yards in just nine games. A video game-like duo this season for Wiregrass with still games left on the schedule.
Kordell Lewis | WR | 2024 Lake Gibson | @kordell_lewis
2023 stats: 26 receptions – 445 yards – 6 TD – 638 All Purpose yards
Another Polk County production piece that has been slept on but starting to see some college offers roll in. Lewis is a long and athletic product with blazing speed combined with sure hands and a developing route running bag. Really impressed with his ability to just run by opposing defenders and finish big-play catches against talented competition. Look out for his name to pop even more during the off-season.
Justin Rosado | WR | Class of 2024 | Seminole | @JrTheElectric13
2023 stats: 29 receptions, 450 yards, 3 TDs
Rosado has been stamped as a playmaker, somehow still getting slept on but continues to produce for Seminole. He’s a big-play machine that’ll quickly catch a 40+ yarder to put his team in position to score. Rosado has good upside and skills to land a roster spot at the next level. He’s shown off decent speed, good hands, and WR IQ to be a consistent producer.
Samron Brinson | WR | 2024 | Wakulla | @BrinsonSamron
Led Wakulla in receiving yards. Don’t let the size fool you, this kid is electric in the open field with over 1,000 total yards recorded this year.
Ora Farlow | WR | 2024 | Winter Haven | @OraFarlow4
2023 stats: 30 receptions – 444 yards – 5 TD
Despite not having the physical presence of some other receivers, Ora Farlow makes up for it with lightning-fast speed and the ability to run crisp, precise routes. Farlow is good at creating separation from defenders and finishing with strong hands. His performance this season earned him a spot as a top WR standout on my list and the respect of his peers, as the slick route runner is poised to continue his success in the upcoming off-season while attempting to pull in some offers.
Chance Bennett | WR | 2024 | Hagerty | @ChanceBennett06
2023 stats: 33 receptions – 620 yards – 7 TD
Bennett finished as one of the standout dogs despite his smaller frame. He tested well during the speed and shuttle drills and showed off his smooth route running skills. Bennett also displayed good hands and the ability to play both sides when catching a one-handed interception on the defensive side of the ball.
Ryan Screen | WR | Class of 2024 | Fort Meade | @s_ryanscreen
Screen led the Miners in receiving yards as he was a part of the Big 4 that’s been brewing since this off-season. Just check the film under each of these kids’ names. True ballers with ever-growing chemistry.
