Prep Redzone has the details…
Demarcus Gardner – Cedartown
The Cedartown Bulldogs didn’t throw it much this past season, but when they did, they threw it to speedy junior receiver, Demarcus Gardner. A big-play machine who averaged an eye-opening 24 yards a catch, Garnder is a physical blocker on the outside with enough speed to fly past defenders down the field in the passing game. He’s a threat to score when he has the ball due to his quickness, burst, and ability to get to his second gear in a hurry. A true weapon for a run-heavy team, Garnder could see even more passes come his way next year as a senior. This past fall, Gardner caught 33 passes for 793 yards and 11 touchdowns. He’s one of the top sleeper receivers in North Georgia and showed he’s talented enough to play somewhere at the next level.
Kamari Maxwell – New Hampstead
A tremendously gifted athlete and a natural receiver, Maxwell is a big-time player who made big catch after big catch all year long as a junior. Now one of the best overall receivers in the area, Maxwell can get open on his way and showed the ability to pick up big yards after the catch. He’s a vertical threat down the field with good burst, elusiveness, and a nose for the end-zone. The Savannah native caught an impressive 40 passes for 734 yards and nine touchdowns in 11 games this past season. He caught more and more passes as the season went along, and if he continues to improve and develop over time, Maxwell could start hearing from college coaches due to his versatility, reliable hands, and his natural feel for the game. He’s an impressive 2025 prospect in the Savannah area to know about after a strong junior season.
Tristan Anderson Tristan Anderson 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Rockmart | 2025 State GA – Rockmart
A big two-way athlete with a large frame and outstanding ball skills, Anderson was a playmaking machine on both sides of the ball last year as a junior. He’s put together well physically at 6-foot-3 180-pounds and has no problem coming down with a tough jump-ball type of catch in traffic. He has big, strong hands and was consistently productive all season long. As a pass-catcher, Anderson caught 53 passes for 1,004 yards and 11 touchdowns in 13 games. He’s a good route-runner for his size with impressive natural athleticism. He was consistently one of the best players on the field throughout the season and will be one of the top returning playmakers in the area for the 2024 season next fall. He flashed Power Five talent, and could see his recruitment pick up some in the off-season.
