As soon as the 2022 season ended, Cocoa head coach Ryan Schneider and his Cocoa football team looked ahead to the 2023 season with plenty of optimism.

With a very productive off-season, this program, which had been on the verge of becoming one of the powers in the state, accomplished that after running a gauntlet that included wins against Orlando Jones, Venice, Port St. Lucie Treasure Coast, Sanford Seminole and a loss that grabbed everyone's attention.

When the Tigers dropped a heart-breaking 37-36 decision to national powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, the country started to see what many had been talking about for years.

The win against unbeaten Starke Bradford County in the 2S finals in Tallahassee put an exclamation mark on a second consecutive state title and sends this program into this off-season believing they will be right back in the mix in 2024.

The talent that is coming back is ridiculous. Loaded everywhere and in all classes, this will not only be one of the best programs in Florida, but they will get national attention – from the first game.

The rising senior class also boasts Elijah Robinson (LS), Kyril Ryals (OL), Xadrian Smith (DE), Kelly Studstill Jr. (OL), talented [player_tooltip player_id='833761' first='Nicholas' last='Teeter'] (WR) and Callum Torres (CB).

2026 CLASS SETS THE TABLE FOR A BRIGHT FUTURE

As gifted as this 2025 class will be, keep an eye on the rising juniors in the class of 2026 where nationally rated quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1247449' first='Brady' last='Hart'] is back and surrounded by elite performers.

The 2026 class also will feature [player_tooltip player_id='283767' first='O'Kece' last='Battle'] (CB), Brandon Bell (OL), Amarion Cox (WR), Duran Guilford (CB), C.J. Hester (FS), productive running back Latrison Lane and offensive lineman

The underclass will also be impressive with 2027 defensive lineman Tameer Passmore and 2028 prospects Zaylan Chapple (RB/WR) and free safety Temarion Walker.
