One of the state’s elite programs, who dropped a rare three games this past season, showed that even with the retirement of the legendary head coach Bill Castle, they are still the standard in high school football in Florida.
With first year head coach Marvin Frazier leading the way, the Dreadnaughts once again dominated the competition down the stretch, beating a good football team in the state title game.
With several seniors leaving and going on to the next level, fans were wondering how things would go in 2024. That question will certainly be answered in the off-season as several quality returnees will be joined with some new faces and make this team a strong favorite to continue to make an impact.
Returning prospects in the rising senior (2025) class will include Marcus Battle (WR), C.J. Bennett (DT), Ben Beymer Ben Beymer 6'8" | 290 lbs | OL Lakeland | 2025 State FL (OL), Patrick Boelens (OL), Shanard Clower (CB), Artice Hall (WR), Keschan Johnson (OL), Jordan Henderson Jordan Henderson 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Lake Wales | 2025 FL (RB), Cooper Martin (DT) and cornerback Kavon McKinney.
The class also will feature Kenron McNeil (OL/DT), Isaiah Pratt (LB), Damareion Smith (OLB), standout quarterback Zander Smith Zander Smith 6'4" | 215 lbs | QB Lakeland | 2025 State FL , Jhaden Williams (OLB) and free safety Keon Young.
POTENT UNDCERCLASSMEN READY FOR THE CHALLENGE
Along with some impressive rising seniors coming back for the Dreadnaughts, Class of 2026 rising juniors will also make an impact. Players such as Preston Coney (RB), Jadarius Dobie (RB), Brycen Fischer (PK), Kylan Gaines (DE), Darion Jiles (WR) and running back Javri Jones.
The 2026 class also has Kenneth Moore (OL), Malik Morris (LB), Ashton O’Neal (TE) and strong safety Ziggy Riley.
