As we continue our look into the future, we stop today at Daytona Beach Mainland where head coach Travis Roland and the Bucs are ordering their 2023 Class 3S championship rings.

Here is a program that is always in the spotlight but winning it all has gotten away from them. Not this year. The win over St. Augustine put this program among the elite and had coaches, players and fans looking forward to the 2024 season.

While the landscape will change throughout Florida, you can count on this program to remain right there in contention for another title.

As any team faces each season, Mainland will lose some quality seniors, but those 2024 prospects set the table for the future and prepared many of these underclassmen for the future.

As many new faces will emerge, like any school has, the returning players will certainly make a huge impact as the Bucs get ready for another productive off season.

Among those players in the Class of 2025 (rising seniors) expected to keep this program at the top include Ryan Allen (WR), George Armstrong (DT), James Shaw-Corbett (OL), Corey Hill (RB), [player_tooltip player_id='829477' first='Christian' last='Hudson'] (DT), Fabian Jeune (CB), Dennis King IV (DB), [player_tooltip player_id='834173' first='Phillip' last='Moore'] (FS) and Jordan Payne (QB).

The class also features [player_tooltip player_id='834227' first='Khamani' last='Robinson'] (RB), Johnnie Santiago (OL), Myron Shafer (OLB), [player_tooltip player_id='1317608' first='Tyree' last='Weatherspoon'] (WR), Antonio Wilson Jr. (DE) and cornerback Drayden Wood.

UNDERCLASSMEN ARE COMING ON

Starting with the Class of 2026 (rising juniors) are also expected to make a difference next season. Players such as Christian Cooper (Slot), Trell Edwards (RB), Jeffrey Harris (CB), Sebastian Johnson (QB), Dennis King III (LB), Jordan Rivers (FS), Jhavin Westbrook (DB) and defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1575242' first='Freddie' last='Wilson'].

The rising sophomore class will also be counted on in 2024. Prospects to watch include Chevin Davis (OL), Kameron Giddens (QB), Shawn Holmes (OLB), John Parks (QB), Demetrick Prince (FS) and linebacker Tamaj Woodard.
