Defensive line is critical in controlling the run game, and creating a tone for the game. All of the defensive linemen have stellar abilities that will propel them into the future. Here is a run down of the prospects who attended the PRZ Stock Up Showcase in Colorado.
Marcus Adams
Marcus Adams
Let’s start with one of the co-MVP of the defensive linemen, Marcus Adams. Adams really boosted his stock during his time at the showcase. He was able to hold his own against the MVP of the offensive linemen, Jack Heath. It was a fun matchup to watch up close. Adams measured in at 6’3″ 225 pounds. Man can this kid move. He ran a 4.7 40 yard dash, an demonstrated very good agility throughout the drills. I agree with my fellow scout Ryan Wesley that Adams would be better suited at edge to take advantage of his athleticism. He demonstrates a low pad level, and will initiate contact first with the OL. Good bend around the edge, and will swat the arms to beat the OL. Good hand placement. Showed good competitive toughness throughout the drills. If he was beat, he’d come back and give it his all. Good bull rush and spin move. Excited to see what he can do in his next season at CT.
Felix Freestone Felix Freestone 6’3″ Fort Collins | 2025 CO not only has a cool name, but also had a great performance at the showcase. He measured in at 6’3″ 210 pounds. He can move around as a d-linemen. Freestone has shifty feet, and uses that to his advantage against the OL. In combination with good hand placement and low pad level, he was making an impact for himself at the showcase.
Even though he wasn’t the biggest defensive linemen at the event, Flores impressed and played against bigger o-linemen throughout the day. He measured at 5’8″ 200 pounds. He has good strength and was able to hold his own against 2 bruising offensive linemen double teaming him. Held his ground, and it took a lot to move him. He’ll continue to grow as a player and I’m excited to see what he’ll do in the upcoming seasons.
Jacob Coskrey
Jacob Coskrey
The other co-MVP alongside Adams, Coskey rose his stock during the showcase. Coskey measured at 6’2″ 265 pounds. He demonstrated good athletic ability. That was on full display during the drills and 1 on 1s. He demonstrated a low pad level to out leverage the OL. Good strength and hand placement to control and steer OL out of the way. Good shifty feet, and powerful bull rush. Expecting him to continue boosting his ranks during the season.
Jeremiah Bustamante
Jeremiah Bustamante
Bustamante measured in at 6’2″ 240 pounds. Bustamante was killing it throughout the event. He impressed during the 1 on 1s and agility drills. He showed a good low pad level to out leverage the OL. Demonstrated good hand placement and hand strength. Ability to move DL out of the way. Good bull rush. Good player who will continue raising up the ranks.
