Continue ReadingFaavae had another solid showing in the Norcal title game against a loaded Clovis North team, and started off hot right from the get go. He rushed for two scores, and added another one in the air while the Spartans scored and shut out Clovis North 41-0. Faavae has been having a terrific Junior season, rushing and passing for both around 800+ yards at this point in the season (per MaxPreps). He will be one of the top returning offensive players across the state next Fall, and currently holds an offer from UNLV, and is rated as a three-star prospect per multiple sites.
Crocitto is one of the more under-recruited defenders across the Bay Area, and has put together a very impressive final prep season for the Wildcats. In their Norcal regional game against OAL champion McClymonds, he lead the defense with 3 TFL’s and was seemingly pressuring the quarterback or in the backfield every other snap. He is a very talented pass rusher with heavy hands, a quick first step and wins with leverage and a high motor at the POA while quickly recognizing blocks and has the ability to play quickly from speed to power. He is a no brainer college caliber kid that has been flying under teh radar, but it won’t be surprising if he signs at the D2/FCS+ level as we close in on the first and second national signing day.
Sully Bailey
Sully Bailey
Bailey is on our impact stars of the week for the second consecutive week now, and deservingly so. He and his Dons team had a very tall task going up against one of the top small school teams in the state, Escalon and put up some big time numbers that no team who has played the Cougars this season was able to do. Bailey managed the game extremely well, and they were able to get the run game going, but through the air he had 200+ yards passing and one score, while very smart with the ball and had a 70% completion percentage on the night. Leading his team into a state title matchup against Birmingham from the LA City Section will be no easy task, as they are loaded with top tier players of their own and should make for some good matchups on the outside. Acalanes is on an upwards swing however, ripping off a almost 10+ game win streak besides a close one point loss to Norcal power, Campolindo.
