Here is a look at nine players from Class 1A through 6-Man ranks who contributed to their respective team’s success in the passing game.
Dallas Lagree Dallas Lagree 5'10" | 150 lbs | WR Sedgwick | 2025 State KS , WR, 5’10”, 155, Sedgwick, ‘25
Two of the top receivers in the Class 1A ranks are teammates for the Sedgwick Cardinals. Lagree, a junior, finished with a team-high 63 receptions. He gained 856 yards on those catches and scored seven touchdowns. His senior teammate gained more yards than him, but Lagree is a sneaky quick and has one year of high school ball left.
Jeff Nold Jeff Nold 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Sedgwick | 2024 State KS , WR, 6’3”, 180, Sedgwick, ‘24
Nold led the Cardinals in receiving yards with 1,012 on 60 receptions. He scored 11 touchdowns in 10 games played which was one more than he scored his junior season. Nold is longer than his teammate Lagree and more of an end zone target. Seeing varsity action since his freshman season, Nold finished with career totals of 163 catches and 2,364 yards gained.
Gage Burk, RB, 6’3”, 180, La Crosse, ‘24
Burk is very athletic and has a great set of hands. He played running back and defensive end for the Leopards. He led La Crosse with 57 receptions gaining 592 yards. He finished with 11 touchdown catches to go along with two scored on the ground. He rushed for 477 yards on 88 carries. Defensively he finished with 74 total tackles. He has the size to be an impact addition for programs looking for depth and athleticism.
Brayan Rodriguez Brayan Rodriguez 5'10" | 160 lbs | LB Rawlins County | 2024 State KS , TE, 5’10”, 160, Rawlins County, ‘24
Rodriguez is a physical and tough player. He played tight end and linebacker for the 8-man DI Rawlins County Buffaloes. He had a team-high 39 receptions in 11 games played. He gained 624 yards and found the end zone three times on those 39 catches. Rodriguez recorded an amazing total of 146 tackles in 11 games. Fifty of those were solo tackles and 20 of them were TFLs. He is also a playmaker on defense registering four fumble recoveries, seven pass breakups, and one interception.
Hazen Rydquist Hazen Rydquist 5'10" | 150 lbs | WR Hodgeman County | 2025 State KS , WR, 5’10”, 150, Hodgeman County, ‘25
Rydquist had an eye-popping 90 receptions during his junior season in the 8-Man DII ranks. He gained 874 yards and scored nine touchdowns. He also scored three touchdowns on the ground and gained 158 yards on 49 carries. If he continues his current trend of big improvements between seasons, look for him to have an increased impact in 2024.
Jimi Oleson, ATH, 6’0”, 180, Stafford, ‘24
Oleson is a multi-sport talent for the Stafford Trojans. He recorded 62 receptions for 874 yards. He scored eight touchdowns in nine games played. Oleson also played defensive back collected 29 total tackles and he is a combo guard on the Stafford basketball team.
Cleve Sutherland Cleve Sutherland 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Sunrise Christian Academy | 2025 State KS , WR, 6’1”, 175, Sunrise Christian Academy, ‘25
College coaches make sure to highlight this name. Sutherland is a diamond in the small school rough. The Buffalo junior caught 45 balls in 10 games gaining 912 yards. He scored 15 touchdowns for the Buffaloes and added six more on the ground. He is physical, has breakaway speed, and can return kicks. He also has the scouting holy trinity, which not enough small school athletes have, and that is profiles on MaxPreps, Hudl, and X.
William Stackhouse William Stackhouse 6'2" | 160 lbs | WR Altoona-Midway | 2025 State KS , WR, 6’2”, 160, Altoona-Midway, ‘25
Stackhouse was a 6-man stat monster during his junior season. In 10 games played, he finished with 61 receptions for 937 yards and 19 touchdowns. A versatile athlete he also gained 713 yards on 44 carries scoring eight touchdowns on the ground. Stackhouse also completed 7-of-13 pass attempts and he is a solid basketball prospect for the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!
Pablo Bermudez, ATH, 5’11”, 165, Cheylin, ‘24
Bermudez is another athlete who likes to do it all for his team. He caught 36 balls for 934 yards and 20 touchdowns in 12 games played for the 6-Man State Champion Cougars. Bermudez also finished his senior season with 614 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on 65 carries. He is also a game-changer on defense recovering eight fumbles and making 75 total tackles. Thirteen of his tackles were for a lost yardage and he added four quarterback sacks and one interception.
