Joanne Langfitt Challenge: Five Quick Skill Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>MYRTLE BEACH</strong> | Friday night's Joanne Langfitt Challenge provided us an opportunity to see underclassmen from all over the state competing in different drills and individual competition. We spent quite a bit of time looking at the skill positions and here are five players that stood out to us.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kedarrion Patterson </strong>| RB | TL Hanna</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Patterson looked strong in the individual period and showed a good burst of speed and power once he got into the open field. He can plant his foot in the ground and make solid north and south progress.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1246944' first='Tanner' last='Mays'] </strong>| WR | Fort Mill</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mays can take the top off of the defense and he showed that inside Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. He made an impressive catch with guys all over him in one of the first matchups of the evening from quarterback <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1025811' first='Jay' last='Stoker']</strong> of Easley. He knows how to find the green grass, like when he made a great catch over the middle for a score.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1025815' first='Caleb' last='Geronomi'] </strong>| DB | White Knoll</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Geronomi has great closing speed when he closes in on opposing wide receivers. He made an interception in the left corner of the end zone to end a possession, showing good range on the play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='205794' first='Brock' last='Feinberg'] </strong>| TE | Wando</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Feinberg (pictured above) can move around when he's flexed out wide and make plays. He showed great concentration on two plays: One was for a touchdown in the right corner in a defender's face, and then the second one was when he made a great catch after the ball was tipped.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1359140' first='Johnathan' last='Tobias'] </strong>| DB | York</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tobais's athleticism was on display in the individual warm up period, showing his ability to flip and turn his hips and find the ball. He made a great interception in one of the 7-on-7 matchups as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
