Without any further ado, here’s my list of some intriguing 2026s in Louisville to watch for.
rnAt the top of my list of notable performers is David Pellman David Pellman 6’3″ | 285 lbs | OL DuPont Manual | 2026 State KY , an offensive lineman at DuPont Manual High School. What impresses me about Pellman is his ability to lock in at the line of scrimmage and consistently assist his teammates in containing defensive playmakers. I also like how Pellman can absorb pressure, knock the opposition to the ground and collapse the pocket. Pellman also proved he can create disorganization in the pocket, opening up space for the rush.

rnI am additionally impressed with Marlon Harbin Marlon Harbin 5’11” | 170 lbs | WR Saint Xavier | 2026 State KY , a wide receiver at Saint Xavier High School. What stands out most about Harbin is his explosive speed and physical edge, showcasing his ability to dodge and weave the defense in the backfield and take it all the way to the house. Another aspect of Harbin’s playstyle that made a difference this past year was his ability to haul in challenging deep passes, proving his awareness in the backfield as well as his ability to attack the ball in the air.

rnClaiming the number three spot on my list is Jeffrey Vazzana Jeffrey Vazzana 5’10” | 180 lbs | RB Christian Academy of Louisville | 2026 State KY , a running back at Christian Academy of Louisville. In addition to outstanding footwork and electric speed off the snap, what stands out about Vazzana is his ability to slip past the defense in the pocket, utilizing his durable edge to withstand heavy defensive pressure and blast into the backfield. Vazzana also impresses from just outside the goal line, showing off his quick execution and ability to barrel into the endzone.

rnAnother skilled prospect is Daelen Thompson Daelen Thompson 5’7″ | WR Ballard | 2026 KY , a wide receiver at Ballard High School. What I like about Thompson is his solid footwork and ability to use bursts of speed to beat the defense in coverage. Thompson also proved he can quickly get in front of the ball for the catch, hauling in the short pass from along the edge to put the offense in a strong field position. Thompson also showed off his explosiveness down the stretch with his ability to catch crucial deep passes and stay on his feet as he blasts into the redzone.

rnComing in at number five on my list is Colin Jefferson Colin Jefferson 6’0″ | 165 lbs | WR Male | 2026 State KY , a wide receiver at Louisville Male High School. What I like about Jefferson is his ability to quickly get open and stay on his feet after the catch, utilizing his versatility to dodge tackles and put the offense in a solid scoring position. I also like Jefferson’s ability to create seperation in the backfield as well as stun the defense in coverage, showcasing his ability to haul in challenging touchdown passes in crucial moments.

Highlights
rnAlso worth mentioning is Larry Irvin Larry Irvin 6’1″ | 190 lbs | QB Ballard | 2026 State KY , a quarterback at Ballard High School. What makes Irvin so impactful under center is his ability to shake tackles and outrun the defense on the ground, as well as his ability to sling bullets into the backfield before the defense makes contact. I also like Irvin’s precision in the air and quick release, proving he can quickly target his receivers off the snap and overwhelm the defense with his pin-point accuracy. Irvin also stands out with his ability to withstand pressure and adapt to the blitz.
