St. James, returning for the first time since its 2019 crown, knocked off the past two champions the past two weeks in Many (2022) in the quarterfinals and Sterlington (2021) in the semifinals, while Union Parish is back for a fourth straight year but still seeking its first championship since 2013.</p>
