Cocoa Completes 13-1 Season

TALLAHASSEE – From the start of the season, Cocoa and head coach Ryan Schneider had a feeling that his Tigers had an opportunity to repeat as 2Suburb champions.
On Friday evening, this team completed a 14-1 season with a 20-6 win over previously unbeaten Starke Bradford County at Bragg Memorial Stadium on the campus of Florida Memorial University.
Schneider and his team ran a gauntlet this year that included wins against Orlando Jones (22-20), Venice (31-21) and Sanford Seminole (28-3), and a one-point setback to 3M power St. Thomas Aquinas on the road.
Bradford County came out and shocked the crowd with 6:24 left in the first quarter when quarterback Dae'jon Shanks to Chalil Cummings Chalil Cummings 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Starke Bradford County | 2024 State FL from 15 yards out and a 6-0 lead, but Cocoa came right back.
At the 4:07 mark of the opening period when impressive sophomore quarter Brady Hart found Nicholas Teeter Nicholas Teeter 5'8" | 160 lbs | WR Cocoa | 2025 FL from 36 yards out and a 7-6 lead.
The Tigers extended the lead to 14-6 when Shane Latrison took it in from 10 yards out at the 3:33 mark of the second quarter and a 14-6 advantage.
The Tigers once again scored in the third quarter on a 25-yard field goal by Gunnar Trout and a 17-6 advantage with 3:56 left.
Cocoa added a field goal in the fourth quarter when Trout connected from 23-yards away.
PUTTING UP NUMBERS
Hart finished 26 of 37 for 228 yards and 1 score. Bragg had 10 catches for 81 yards, Teeter caught 6 passes for 76 yards and Boggs caught 7 passes for 47 yards. Lane carried the ball 15 times for 60 yards.

For Bradford County – on offense - Shanks, Willie Pollard and Cummings each made plays on offense.
Defensively, Branden Williams led the way with 20 tackles, Chason Clark Chason Clark 6'3" | 190 lbs | LB Starke Bradford County | 2024 FL (9) and Cummings finished with 7.
