<p>I am not going to lie, I was taken by surprise at some of the eye-popping passing numbers posted by quarterbacks from Class 2A schools this season.</p>

<p>Sometimes I think I am still lost in the 80s and 90s and expect small schools to be running the wishbone and the triple-option. However, in Kansas this fall several signal callers eclipsed the 1,000-yard passing mark.</p>

<p>Here is a continued look at the top passers from 2023 in Kansas, this group is from the Class 2A ranks.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1113374' first='Kasen' last='Parsons']</strong>, QB, 6'0”, 173, Osage City, ‘26</p>

<p>First on the list is a young buck from the Class of 2026. Parsons threw for 2,401 yards in 11 games played. He also rushed for 864 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. He had a 63 percent completion percentage as a sophomore and threw for 26 touchdowns. He has good size for the position and is off to a solid start to his high school career.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='716132' first='Eli' last='Jones'],</strong> QB, 6'1”, 185, Norton, ‘25</p>

<p>Jones had a big season in 2023. The dual-threat junior quarterback threw for 2,267 yards and 18 touchdowns in 12 games played. He also rushed for 870 yards and 20 touchdowns. The Blue Jays made a deep run in the Class 2A state playoffs losing to Hoisington in the sub-state round.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1107780' first='Daniel' last='Kejr']</strong>, QB, 6'0”, 175, Southeast of Saline, ‘24</p>

<p>The Trojans have produced several college signees in recent years and should have another one in Kejr. He helped the SES advance to the sectional round of the 2A playoffs before losing to Hoisington. The senior quarterback threw for 1,667 yards and 16 touchdowns in 11 games. He also rushed for 883 yards and 13 end zone appearances.</p>

<p><strong>Camden Horak</strong>, QB, 6'0”, 165, Rossville, ‘24</p>

<p>The name Horak has become a household name in Rossville. All kinds of college athletic talent has been mined in this family. Horak threw for 1,591 yards and 16 touchdowns. He gained 315 yards on the ground and rushed for five scores. Camden is also a solid baseball prospect.</p>

<p>The Dragons have a young quarterback to continue to build around. During his junior campaign, Creed threw for 1,587 yards and 10 touchdowns. On the ground, he chewed up 353 yards and seven touchdowns. He has quick feet and a nice release.</p>

<p>Moore helped guide the Cardinals to a 12-1 season and a state runner-up finish. He threw for 1,506 yards and 19 touchdowns in 13 games played. He also rushed for 946 yards and 10 more touchdowns. He also registered 24 total tackles, one sack, and one interception on the defensive side of the ball.</p>
