919/252 HS Showcase Bowl – Defensive Standouts

The 252 Team generated enough offense to secure a 16 - 10 victory. He displayed good technique on tackles made in the open field.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DeMontae Robinson - DL, 6'2" 240, North Pitt HS.</strong> DeMontae displayed good technique and good use of hands to control blockers while moving past them for stops. He moved well in tight spaces to stop inside running plays.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Gary Payne - DL, 6'3" 210, Washington HS. </strong> Gary displayed good technique and use of hands to control blockers while moving past them for stops. He displayed good technique on tackles made in the open field. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DeVaughn Bell - LB, 5'11" 215, Northeastern HS. </strong> DeVaughn displayed good lateral movement and speed to cover ground quickly while closing in on the ball carrier. He played at a high-energy level and made a lot of tackles. He was the dominant player on the defensive unit.
