Viewing a prospect’s recent highlight film is one of many tools we use to evaluate. This is how we and many college coaches can get a great feel for each recruit and their potential. These reports include a Hudl video or link for each recruit that is viewed and evaluated. This is a weekly report that I will publish each week as we attempt to evaluate those worthy of being ranked amongst the best of the best in New England.

Season Film Observations: Very impressed with this young linebacker’s motor. He does everything fast and quick. Has high-level reactionary skills.
He is a very active player that shows good movement. He is a relentless pursuer. In a few clips he strikes through ball carriers and knocks ball carriers backward on contact. Instinctive in the run game. Strong on contact. Solid knee bend. Pursues well. An effective edge defender who understands how to keep the edge and still make a play. His physical measurables align with Division 1 low FCS/High D-2/High NAIA linebackers.
I observed him play in a live setting and he easily passed the eye test. Has a lean muscular athletic frame and plays physically and aggressively with good instincts to pass or run. .

Season Film Observations: A pleasure to view his film. He can find the open window in zone and separate from man coverages. Shows the ability to break tackles and gain yards after contact. A few clips have him dragging defenders downfield after the catch. He can stretch the field vertically. Blocks well in open space and can block moving targets. He explodes through his hips on contact when blocking. He can and will go up and get it. Makes caatches outside of his body frame. Very good high-point ability.
He shows the ability to flex out and create mismatches as a WR. He can be effective as a WR in the red zone, has experience playing DE/LB, and shows explosive tendencies. His physical measurables align with Div-1 FBS group of 5 or High FCS Tight-ends.

Season Film Observations: Has good athletic ball skills. Flashes decent quickness and speed. Has good balance and body control. Will lay his body out to complete a pass if necessary. Has a majority of clips displaying his ability to outrun defenders on the edge and turn the corner. Flashes strong traits of being a slot back/receiver at the next level. He shows his skills to work the flats and find the soft spots in the field. He’s the guy who picks up the tough yards for his team. You just get him the ball somehow and he does the rest.” His physical measurables align with Div-1 Low FCS/High D2/High NAIA running backs.

His 2nd clip in the reel displays his ability to run down a ball carrier in an open field from behind with his speed. Shows good instincts. He tackles with a low pad level and through the body. Can cover in zone or man schemes with a good thought process and competitiveness. Recognizes run support needs and reacts well on the perimeter to any outside runs.rn
