Tupelo vs. Madison Central Round 2 Playoff Review

Madison Central is trying to get things together and make this run. They are super loaded with talent. [player_tooltip player_id='344100' first='Jeremiah' last='Harrell'] is one of the best 2024 quarterbacks in the state. Some think that he is a player that is underrated. Harrell is the guy that gets the spark going for their offense. He spreads the ball to all of their receivers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='749056' first='Jaeden' last='Hill'] is a 2026 running back that totes the ball well for the Golden Wave. I think that we are going to see him being used in a different way this weekend. Madison Central has a very solid linebacker core that knows how to find the football. Hill could be more effective in zone reads from the shotgun this week. Only time will tell. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tupelo also has a very solid defense. I think that [player_tooltip player_id='616692' first='Tristan' last='Jernigan'] is going to have his guys ready to lay some blows on defense. They are known to be an aggressive bunch. They also love to play sideline to sideline. Jareylan McCoy is a very explosive defensive end. He has grown a lot. He will be very active against this Madison Central offensive line this week. [player_tooltip player_id='139850' first='Shamaar' last='Darden'] is another guy that we will see getting active on this defense. Darden is a true leader at safety. He knows how to do well in coverage, but he is very supportive in their rush defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Madison Central </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Madison Central is going to need to slow this game down. They do not need to go out there trying to be in a shootout with Tupelo. I think they need to run the ball a lot and count on their defense. Tupelo has an explosive offense, but Madison Central does have a very decent defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='346401' first='Ryan' last='McCall'] is going to be leading their defense. He is a very solid player that knows how to lead this team. He needs to be sure to make sure that he holds it down with his guys on defense. Jameson Kelly is another player on their defense that could step up and be a big leader for this defense. He is a player that does make a lot of plays in the secondary. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
