<p>It was state semifinal weekend and the Midlands ended up doing very well. Four teams punched tickets to championship weekend and with that came several outstanding performances. Here are the game Balls for last week.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1083060' first='Connor' last='Burgess']</strong> LB and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1142518' first='Demenico' last='Banks']</strong> LB, White Knoll – The Timberwolves limited a high-scoring Summerville team to just 14 points and a total of 281 yards of offense. A lot of that had to do with the play of Burgess and Banks. Burgess finished with 14 tackles and a forced fumble. Banks contributed 12 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack in the 21-14 win.</p>

<p><strong>Trent Lodge</strong> RB, Dutch Fork – Dutch Fork lost starting QB [player_tooltip player_id='1267290' first='Ethan' last='Offing'] to injury in the first quarter. Lodge stepped up with 96 yards on nine carries with touchdown runs of 1 and 54 yards. He added three receptions for 8 yards in the 31-30 win.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='464892' first='Justin' last='Welch']</strong> K, Dutch Fork – The Silver Foxes scored 10 points in the final 1:17 to erase a nine-point deficit and advance to the state championship for the 10<sup>th</sup> time in the last 11 years. Welch (pictured) drilled the game-winning 39-yard field goal with 44 seconds remaining to complete the 31-30 comeback victory.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='139311' first='Grayson' last='White']</strong> QB, Camden – Whenever Camden needs a big play, it almost always seems White is the guy to make it. In the Bulldogs 46-30 win over Brookland-Cayce in the Class 3A semifinals, the senior QB ran for four touchdowns and 69 yards on 20 carries, and he added 309 yards passing and completed 21-of-27 attempts. He also ran in two, two-point conversions. Camden didn't punt the entire game.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='997269' first='Kaine' last='Williams']</strong> LB, Gray Collegiate – Williams was all over the field for the War Eagles in the 27-12 victory over Abbeville. He finished with 12 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and blocked an extra point to move Gray Collegiate to the Class 2A state championship this coming Thursday night.</p>
