The Lightning lost to Newberg 68-40 in a high scoring contest on Friday, November 3rd. After the loss to Newberg, they concluded their season with an even record of 5-5. Franklin’s football program is undoubtedly headed in a positive direction.
Franklin put everyone on notice this season. Their 5-5 record this season is a vast improvement from their 4-4 record last year, especially since they made the playoffs.
Franklin’s starting quarterback, senior Will Reid Will Reid 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Franklin | 2024 State OR , made his name known during his senior campaign. Reid had his best season yet. Reid’s senior season stats let scouts know that he is the real deal. He cemented himself into Oregon’s history books with the most passing yards thrown in a PIL game, with 591. He topped off his outstanding regular season with a legendary performance against Newberg in the first round of the playoffs. Max Wallace is a 5’10”, 160-pound senior wide receiver and corner. Wallace recorded 400 yards and two touchdowns in six appearances for the Lightning in his senior season. Wallace is a gifted athlete who is fast, strong, and versatile. Despite having offers to play college football, Wallace respectively announced that he will not pursue football at the next level, due to too many concussions.

Ethan Aman is a 6’1″, 190-pound senior wide receiver and defensive back. Aman had an outstanding season. This season, Aman tallied 12 total touchdowns, and 827 yards. He averaged 91.9 yards per game and 15.3 yards per reception this season. Aman additionally tallied the second most receiving touchdowns in the 6A, with 14. One thing that makes Ethan Aman stand out is his speed and athleticism. Aman is a stout and relentless receiver who can out-muscle and spin off of defenders to gain extra yardage. In addition to having a fantastic senior season, Aman was named first team All-PIL. Aman also registered two touchdowns and had 158 yards in Franklin’s playoff loss against Newberg. Whichever team lands Ethan Aman will be lucky to have him. He is a hard working gifted athlete who is extremely fast and athletic.
Cash Landau Cash Landau 6’4″ | 230 lbs | WR Franklin | 2025 State OR is a 6’4″, 215-pound junior wide receiver and tight end. Landau had an outstanding season. He scored 15 touchdowns, and registered 829 total yards in nine games during the regular season. Landau additionally averaged 16.3 yards per reception and 92.1 yards per game. Cash Landau Cash Landau 6’4″ | 230 lbs | WR Franklin | 2025 State OR led the 6A conference in receiving touchdowns, with 17 after the playoffs. He also finished number two in 6A receiving yards with 1,108 overall. A few attributes that make Landau unique include his size, shiftiness and his quickness. Landau is a unique talent who has elite route running abilities. He’s a complete athlete. He’s also strong and athletic, and can out jump opponents to snag big time catches.
