Jack Schneider
Jack Schneider
Schneider helped guide Del Norte to an 8-2 record in the regular season with their only losses coming from D-I section teams (La Costa Canyon, San Marcos). He’s been productive both with his arm (67% compl., 1800 yards, 18 TDs, 3 INTs) and legs (90 rush, 250 yards, 6 TDs). He’s composed from the pocket delivering the ball accurately with quiet feet, polished mechanics, and a smooth release. He shows athleticism when extending plays and natural arm strength when moving outside the pocket making off-platform throws on the run. Schneider and #1-Del Norte locked up the top seed in D-II and will host the winner of #8-Oceanside and #9-Steele Canyon on Nov. 10th.
Diehl’s produced a breakout sophomore season leading La Jolla in receiving (41 recs., 630 yards, 8 TDs) and INTs (7). He’s a skilled athlete on both sides of the ball (WR/FS) that excels at creating/finding space on intermediate in-breakers and can make difficult catches outside his frame with natural length and strong hands. He’s a turnover machine on defense that can cover space as a deep-middle safety and can punch the ball out as an aggressive downhill tackler. Diehl’s skilled playmaking on both sides of the ball could propel #3-La Jolla to a D-II section championship.
Brady Allen
Brady Allen
Allen’s proven to be a complete football player and one of the most versatile playmakers in San Diego this season. He leads Point Loma in passing (55/92, 780 yards, 13 TDs, 1 INT), rushing (108 rush, 780 yards, 8 TDs), and INTs (4) while playing multiple skill positions on both sides of the ball. He’s naturally athletic and physical, can throw and catch, can run with the ball, and operates the offense effectively. He’s a true Swiss-army knife type player that’s a plug-and-play option at the next level. Allen and #5-Point Loma host #12-San Pasqual in the first round this Friday.
Geordan Beamon
Geordan Beamon
Beamon’s developed into a prolific pass rusher in his senior season, totaling 12 sacks for the Oceanside defense. He’s extremely effective around the edge where he can use his speed, bend, and hands to win 1v1 matchups over OTs. He sets a strong edge when containing run showing great use of leverage, separation, and initial punch. He flashes speed and motor to the football tracking down ball-carriers from back-side. Beamon and #8-Oceanside host #9-Steele Canyon in the first round this Friday.
Ian Browne
Ian Browne
Browne’s an explosive, downfield WR threat with 55 catches for 810 yards and 13 TDs on the season. He’s sudden and intentional in his releases at the LOS and can gain separation over the top with smooth, deceptive speed. He shows good ball-tracking downfield and finishes the catch with soft, absorbing hands. Also has 38 tackles from his DB spot. Browne’s explosive-play ability and production in the passing game (including multiple games with 10+ catches, 100+ yards, and 3+ TDs) should prove valuable for #7-Bishop’s playoff run. They open the first round with #10-Brawley on Friday.
