<p>In Spartanburg and the surrounding areas, Friday was a tough night. Gaffney and Clinton are the only area teams who remain alive in their respective playoffs, as Spartanburg County failed to put a team into the third round for the first time since 2006.</p>

<p>Still, there were plenty of bright spots from Friday's games. Here's a look at players who turned in performances deserving of PRZ game balls.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='473029' first='Jaiden' last='McDowell']</strong> RB, Gaffney</p>

<p>McDowell didn't reach the end zone, but still had a huge impact in the Indians' second-round win over Clover. He carried 16 times for 84 yards and added four catches for 46 yards for Gaffney.</p>

<p><strong>Jarriel Jefferies</strong> DL, Gaffney</p>

<p>Jefferies had a phenomenal night up front for Gaffney. He notched one solo tackles, had six assists, and recorded two sacks as Gaffney allowed Clover just 260 yards of total offense, including just 115 on the ground on 41 carries.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1012830' first='Tushawan' last='Richardson']</strong> QB, Clinton</p>

<p>The Red Devils blasted Broome, and Richardson had a great performance at QB. He continued Clinton's increased reliance on the passing game, finishing with 10-of-14 passing for 155 yards. He also rushed five times for 18 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win.</p>

<p>Segarra put up 172 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries as the Rebels dropped an overtime heartbreaker to Hillcrest.</p>

<p>Gray led the Panthers in rushing with 60 yards and a touchdown, and threw another TD pass in Chapman's loss to Chester.</p>

<p><strong>Kjay Proctor</strong> QB and <strong>Kaylob Blanton</strong> WR, Chesnee</p>

<p>Proctor and Blanton led the way for the Eagles in a loss to Gray Collegiate. Proctor threw for 201 yards, including 158 to Blanton, who posted that number on five catches, including a TD.</p>
