Continue ReadingForst has been one of the more explosive and productive running backs across the region for the past two seasons, and has put together another stellar senior season campaign for Arcadia. He is a bit undersized for the position, but has a strong build and powerful lower body that can run through tacklers and is not afraid to bang inside the tackles and gain the tough yards. The elusive ball carrier has rushed for over 1,100 yards in eleven games and 20 touchdowns. This week was no different, as he erupted for 130 yards and 3 scores, while adding some receiving work out of the backfield as well. He is a no brainer next level caliber kid at the D-III+ level and should see some roster spot options come his way this Winter.
The 3-star prospect from Saguaro holds several Division I offers from Oregon, Arizona, ASU, and NAU. He is a very smooth defensive back that can play both the field and boundary corner and has elite cover abilities, while not afraid to come up in run support out in space as well. He is a rangy ball hawk that can play physical at the LOS with his hands, while seemingly comfortable in zone coverage with playing off and has the length and speed to trail and recover. He had a big time game on special teams against Queen Creek where he had two kick return touchdowns and showed that he could also possibly be a return specialist at the next level.
Millender is no doubt one of the more explosive and dynamic athletes across the entire state, and is a high caliber dual-threat quarterback. He shows that he can push it downfield on a rope with good mechanics and a snappy release, while knowing when to take off and hit that next gear in the open field. Against Buena in the first round Friday night, he threw for over 300 yards through the air, and 5 touchdowns. Desert edge went on to win the game 58-14 and look to battle it out this Friday night with Notre Dame Prep in a big time 5-A showdown.
