Players to Know in the VHSL Playoffs: Region Semifinals

He has solid Speed, with good Agility to make defenders miss. His Competitive Toughness shows in his film as a runner. He is willing to let his blocks develop and will take what is given to him in the play. He shows good patience and will then burst through the open hole. He has very good strength and balance as a runner. Many of his plays on film show him fighting through multiple tacklers before he is taken down, and he is able to keep his speed through arm tackles and when the defenders get his feet. In the open field, he displays the ability to make a move on safeties playing downhill to get past the third level. At 6'4u0022, he is able to play with good Pad Level when blocking and has good Sustain and Finish on his blocks, clearing the rushing lane on the edge for his RBs. He also displays the ability to make blocks on DBs in the open field. He has good Hands and does provide a mismatch with his height in the passing game.  Brady is also a Long Snapper and has been u003ca href=u0022https://twitter.com/Brady_owens84/status/1723805080678215882u0022u003eworking at campsu003c/au003e to improve his snapping. He has good processing at safety, willing to play the run, and can track the ball in the deep passing game to break up the pass. He is a very good lead blocker and loves to hit people. As a blocker, he is able to engage with his hands, sustain the blocks, and drive defenders out of the gap with good finish on the blocks. On defense, his strength shows up as he is able to shed blocks and is a sure tackler. He plays with good pad level and is able to engage and sustain his blocks with solid leg drive. He's aggressive and will fight through the entire play through the whistle. His role will be important for Rustburg to keep up with Liberty Christian's high-powered offense.
