The Mount St. Joseph's Gaels defeated Pallotti over the weekend , and, with a final score of 27-7, they were victorious by nearly three touchdowns. Now, let's analyze the performances of the top playmakers from this contest!

2024 6'6 220 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='249088' first='Winston' last='Watkins'] - Mount St. Joseph

[player_tooltip player_id='249088' first='Winston' last='Watkins'] dominated yet again for MSJ versus Pallotti over the weekend, and he led the Gaels to their fifth consecutive victory and seventh overall of the season. This win puts MSJ in a top two position in one of Maryland's most competitive conferences- the MIAA. Against Pallotti, [player_tooltip player_id='249088' first='Winston' last='Watkins'] completed 16/24 passes for 237 yards and multiple touchdowns, and he ended the game with an excellent 126.6 QBR. Watkins also added a rushing touchdown on 4 carries for 24 yards, and he was extra efficient on the ground in third down situations. The MSJ QB is most definitely playing All-Conference level football right now, and, depending on the Gaels' playoff results, my prediction is that he will be named the All-MIAA First Team QB at the end of the season! [player_tooltip player_id='249088' first='Winston' last='Watkins'] and the Gaels play their final regular season game of the season tomorrow night against Archbishop Spalding, in what should be an epic clash of two MIAA powerhouses!

Highlights: https://x.com/WinstonjWatkins/status/1718757614585069654?s=20

2024 6'0 180 RB - Zion Williams - Mount St. Joseph

Averaging 7.0 yards per carry in this contest, Zion Williams ran the ball very productively against St. Vincent Pallotti. He carried the ball 6 times for 42 yards, and he also ran one of the largest single carries of the game downfield for 23 yards. Williams is one of the more effective pass blocking running backs in the conference, and his skills will translate beautifully at the next level. There's no doubt in my mind that Zion Williams will continue to be one of the primary running backs for the Gaels down their playoff stretch.

Highlights: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/16656946/652fd84e6899470840b05a8d

2024 6'0 200 RB - Austin Lewis - Mount St. Joseph

Austin Lewis led the MSJ team in carries and rushing yards in their home victory on Saturday. He showcased a variety of his skills from the backfield, and the one that really stood out was his efficiency in the short passing game. Lewis connected with his quarterback, [player_tooltip player_id='249088' first='Winston' last='Watkins'], on multiple screen passes which burned the defense for large gains on both occasions. It's evident that Austin Lewis is an extremely well-rounded running back who can contribute on the football in many positive ways. He will most certainly be at the center of the Gaels' offensive scheme as their season moves forward into the playoffs!

Highlights: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/19393854/651b139d42060904b8eb1cf5

2024 6'1 195 WR - Dennis Morgan - Mount St. Joseph

Dennis Morgan led the Gaels in both receptions and all-purpose yards over the weekend. He most definitely earned my vote for the Offensive Player of the Game Award with his fantastic performance on Saturday. He caught 3 passes for more than 100 yards and a touchdown score, so it's clear that his overall efficiency was off the charts incredible. Dennis Morgan will be the primary pass catching target for his quarterback, [player_tooltip player_id='249088' first='Winston' last='Watkins'], as the playoffs begin, and this dynamic duo has one more chance tomorrow to create regular season fireworks yet again under the Friday night lights!

Highlights: https://t.co/P1JYI17C0L

2025 6'0 170 DB/WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1080192' first='Angelo' last='Ross'] - Mount St. Joseph

The Defensive Player of the Game from this contest, [player_tooltip player_id='1080192' first='Angelo' last='Ross'], just put forth his second consecutive multiple interception performance. With this epic showcase of talent, Ross has really separated himself from the rest of the DBs in his class, and I believe that he should be considered one of the top DBs from the 2025 class in the entire DMV area. [player_tooltip player_id='1080192' first='Angelo' last='Ross'] has been an integral part of the Gaels' five game winning streak, and it's no coincidence that he became the MIAA's interception leader along the way. Ross is a two way player who contributes on both sides of the ball, and I believe that this is another key sign that he will thrive in the college game. Scouts across the DMV area must know the name [player_tooltip player_id='1080192' first='Angelo' last='Ross']!

Highlights: https://x.com/Angelo__Ross/status/1718394216382886396?s=20
