#1 (Last Week #1) Louisville (10-0)
The Wildcats kick off their journey for another state championship under their home lights this Friday and should be favored all the way.
Last week: beat Greenwood 58-0
This week: vs. Itawamba AHS
#2 (#2) Ocean Springs (8-1)
We stated that last week’s matchup with Gulfport would be the best game on the coast but we were wrong. The Greyhounds rolled and have clinched the Region 4-7A title.

#3 (#3) Oak Grove (8-1)
Oak Grove has clinched the number 2 seed in Region 3-7A going into the last week of the regular season.Rivalry week with Petal is on deck.

#4 (#4) Tupelo (7-2)
One of the games of the week is on the blue turf in Tupelo as they host Starkville in what has become a huge rivalry in northeast Mississippi. Last week’s bye couldn’t have landed more perfectly.

#5 (#5) Brandon (7-2)
In what was probably their worst performance of the division slate, the Dogs of Brandon held on to beat Meridian last week and clinch Region 3-7A.

#6 (#7) West Jones (9-0)
Another game with “game of the week” written all over it is up for the Mustangs as they go to Hattiesburg in a “winner take all” for Region 3-6A.

#7 (#8) Picayune (7-2)
Senior RB went off last Friday for 320 yards and 3 TD’s to beat George County. The Maroon Tide is peaking at the right time again.

#8. (#10) Starkville (7-2)
Don’t look now but here come the Yellowjackets again. The bunch from Starkville can beat anybody on any given night. The schedule did them no favors but they can win Region 2-7A by beating Tupelo on Thursday.

#9 (#9) Warren Central (7-2)
The Vikings keep winning but at times it gets a lot closer than expected like last week. Region 1-6A title is locked up.

#10 (#6) Holmes County Central (10-0)
We didn’t expect Holmes County to really get tested until the playoffs but Cleveland Central gave them all they wanted last week.
