Louisiana's number of high school football teams still playing is quickly narrowing down, but the state is still enjoying plenty of impressive performances along the way.   The field halved this past week from 64 teams down to 32. And as always, Prep Redzone Louisiana has gathered many of the top stat lines from around the state.   Reminder for the postseason: Because of the shift from five classifications (Class 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A) in the regular season to eight divisions (Division IV, III, II and I on both the "Select" and "Non-Select" sides) in the postseason, we've adjusted our "small schools" list to include both Division III's and IV's and our "large schools" list to include both Division I's and II's.     [player_tooltip player_id='291147' first='Jonathan' last='Dartez'] — 5-9, 170 QB — Vermilion Catholic (2025)   The junior had another impressive dual-threat performance in his Eagles' 39-35 advance past Ascension Catholic to the semifinals with his 183 yards and four touchdowns rushing and 167 yards and another score passing.   [player_tooltip player_id='710080' first='Chad' last='Elzy'] — 5-10, 175 RB — Ascension Catholic (2025)   Another huge week for the Bulldogs' junior star to wrap up the season as Elzy rushed 29 times for 279 yards and two touchdowns on the road against top-seeded Vermilion Catholic in Division-I Select action.   Kaden Foster — 5-10, 160 DB — St. Charles Catholic (2024)   A second straight week on the list for the Comets' senior standout highlighted by his big special teams play. In the 31-21 Division-III Select quarterfinal defeat of Notre Dame, Foster returned a punt for a touchdown.   [player_tooltip player_id='285208' first='Seth' last='Gale'] — 5-10, 160 WR — University Lab (2024)   The senior caught a pair of touchdown passes and returned a punt and a kickoff for scores to help lead the Cubs past Lake Charles College Prep, 45-13, in the Division-III Select quarterfinals.   [player_tooltip player_id='1214154' first='Dedric' last='Lastie'] — 5-3, 130 RB — Riverside Academy (2025)   The Rebels' speedy junior had another huge performance in a Division-IV Select quarterfinal rematch with district rival St. Martin's as he carried 29 times for 219 yards and three touchdowns in the 26-14 victory.   [player_tooltip player_id='920625' first='Jake' last='Randle'] — 5-10, 170 RB — Isidore Newman (2026)   The sophomore running back totaled 130 yards and three touchdowns rushing and another 35 yards on a pair of receptions in the Greenies' 31-15 defeat of Episcopal (Baton Rouge) in the Division-III Select quarterfinals.   [player_tooltip player_id='710073' first='James' last='Simon'] — 6-0, 200 RB — Calvary Baptist (2025)   The junior running back racked up a season-high 326 yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries in his Cavaliers' 49-28 defeat of Parkview Baptist in Divison-III Select.   [player_tooltip player_id='902142' first='Chase' last='Square'] — 6-0, 210 LB — Southern Lab (2024)   The Kittens' standout had one of the state's top defensive performances in the quarterfinals with his two sacks, fumble recovery and blocked punt in a 35-0 shutout of Central Catholic in the Divison-IV Select quarters.
