We'll give a quick preview of each, including the top five seeds, two lower seeds to watch for a potential run, up to eight top-ranked prospects, up to five sleeper prospects, an intriguing first-round matchup, a most intriguing potential second-round matchup and an overarching storyline entering the tournament.

2022 runner-up: Brother Martin

Intriguing first-round matchup: No. 15 Northwood (Shreveport) vs. No. 18 Archbishop Rummel

Most intriguing possible second-round matchup: No. 8 Acadiana vs. No. 9 Carencro

Overall Storyline: Edna Karr, undefeated through nine weeks with its stacked defensive and explosive receivers, had started to appear to be the favorite in the always competitive gauntlet toward a Division-I Select title. But another perennial power, defending champion John Curtis, sent a 41-7 message last week to not overlook its own capability in making another run. That duo and Catholic (Baton Rouge), itself off a huge win against fellow power Zachary, appear to be the likeliest trio to contend. All that said, Holy Cross put together a not only memorable, but historic season to more than earn the No. 1 seed in the group. But this bracket may have some of the highest potential for chaos with teams well into the double-digits capable of making deep runs.
