No. 17 Istrouma also won its first playoff game since 2020 under new coach Sid Edwards, a longtime Louisiana coaching legend with notable recent stops at Central (Baton Rouge), Jesuit and Redemptorist. No. 8 St. Michael the Archangel, after enjoying a first-round bye, will now look for its first-ever playoff victory with a home game against No. 9 Livingston Collegiate.</p>
